Publisher's summary

As the former Archangel of Death, Azrael has always stood apart from his brothers. Cursed to rule from the darkness, he is not only one of the four favored archangels but the very first vampire, and king among his kind.

Sophie Bryce is a woman scarred by the dark secrets of her past. Though she is overwhelmingly attracted to the brooding archangel, she simply cannot believe that she is the one fated to be with such an extraordinary being.

But Azrael has known differently from the moment he laid eyes on Sophie and he will stop at nothing to win her heart - even if he has to fight an army of unimaginable evils to do so....

WOW, JUST WOW....... I'M LOST FOR WORDS

Ok ok well nearly! But for a P/R fan it doesn't get much better than this third instalment of the handsome and gifted Lost Angels, it was awesome - every single chapter is just WOW I didn't see that one coming. Great characters that you'll empathise with and love and some you'll hate, some old enemies but some new even more twisted ones that each play their part in this fantasy paranormal romance that leaves you wanting more more more.

The Narration was spot-on as he flawlessly went from English to American to Scottish and so on as he manages to capture the emotional, exciting, passionate and thrilling plot. No 'hot n heavy' moments but just 1 magical heavenly 'joining' that was more emotional rather than sexual. HKW spins a tale that will leave you drained and happy but bereft it's over all at the same time.

You may think 4 books (maybe more) each about 4 Angels looking for their Archesses may become boring however you'd be so wrong as every book manages to bring a different plot and portrays a different vibe. If you haven't already done so then I suggest you start at book 1 sit back and enjoy the fantastical ride as each book brings you closer to to the ultimate battle.... a heaven sent (literally) good v evil war.

Worth a credit? After my gushing review I think you know what I will say ....... a definite, absolute and positive YES and then some for us P/R fans but if you're not a fan of the genre then save your credit and look elsewhere.

Love the series...

I'm hooked on finishing the entire series. The only complaint I have about Death's Angel is that I wish the narrator hadn't made Azrael sound like he had a stuffed nose the entire time! Not very "sexy".

Death's Angel Favorite thus far

What made the experience of listening to Death's Angel the most enjoyable?

Characters are engaging. More was revealed, deeper characters were introduced and the story evolved further leaving me hanging on for the 4th book.

What does Gildart Jackson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He's an great Narrator. I enjoy really another series that he Narrates.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. It would have been if I started it on the weekend. Schedule wouldn't allow it otherwise.

Any additional comments?

Favorite Book of the series. Great Author. Well written and narrated. Recommended!

Really liked this story. Steamy too!

I really enjoyed the angel of Death's story. Usually there is one big love/sex scene in HKW's books where the H&H get together. I must say that I found the sex scene in this one to be particularly hot and steamy! The Hero and heroine seemed perfect for each other too.

A Great addition to the Series

Being a huge fan of a Good book series I would add The Lost Angels to my collection. The plots are a bit predicable in that from the start there will be a girl in danger, a guy or angel in this case who just happens to be handsome & strong beyond all reasoning saving her out of no where. At least the author truly makes it a fun ride. Gildart Jackson does a great job with the voices as usual. However his choice of using such a weird vocal pitch for the Angel of Death can be off putting from time to time. The best part of the book is the end when the author sets up the story for her up coming book which by the bit you get sounds like it's going to be worth the wait. I'm truly looking forward to that one.

Cursed or Blessed a fight for Love!

As the former Angel of Death, Azrael knows that is soul mate may suffer the most. Sophie is a strong but fractured female spirit. Sizzling story line and sharp characters. Watch out for story curve balls, action and angry sex or is that make up sex in a novel? LOL

Jack of all Trades

Azreal,Arch Angel, angel of Death and the”Vampire King”,he has many faces, shoes to fill. The story was really good, the narrator has a great voice with the exception of doing Azreal’s voice. He made him sound goofy and also at the end with Angels voice,he made her sound awful too.Otherwise he is great. Some other issues I have with the series and or books of Heathers,I thought her books all fed into each other, like a lot of authors books, you’ll see a character from another story, all connecting in some way.Unfortunately though,Gregor who was the”Phantom King”in this book and Azreal being the”Vampire King”,are not kings in the series of Kings.Too bad,I would’ve liked to have heard a happy ending for Gregor. Recommend reading the books instead.
