Witnesses to a shocking crime, three men must face the dangers of the past to unlock the passion in their hearts....

Logan Callahan has fought hard to forget what happened that fateful day, so long ago. But every night he tries to sleep, he relives the nightmare. Every time he closes his eyes, he sees the woman whose life he could not save….

A newcomer in town, Sky O’Brien is a mystery to Logan. Like him, she is a night owl. Like him, she is fighting her own demons. Like him, she hides a secret in her eyes - a fire that consumes him with every glance. Could she be the one to heal him?

When Logan’s ex-girlfriend is brutally murdered, his past implicates him as suspect - and his new neighbor Sky may be the only person he can turn to. Together, they share an attraction that can’t be denied. But as he searches for the real killer, he discovers that Sky is tracking down a murderer too - and she intends to use him to do it….

Worthy of a Novella, Not a Novel

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Edit, edit, and more edit. I truly admire Lora Leigh's prolific output and her ability to make every moment of intimacy that much more rauchy. When one reads a story, it's very easy to skim/gloss over extraneous details at one's leisure. However, the problem with 'listening' to a story (particularly on a long road trip), one clearly hears the the lack of editorial review. For instance, the puppy in the story had apricot fur, and I lost count of the number of times this was stated . . . The fact I remember this over a week later is most distressing.

What was most disappointing about Lora Leigh’s story?

Bottom line was the story dragged on unnecessarily for at least the first three hours of listening due to lack of editorial review. That shouldn't be the author's fault necessarily (I guess it depends on Ms. Leigh's relationship with her publisher). Would have been a very good, well-paced novella once all the unnecessary bits were removed.

Which character – as performed by Clare Claremont – was your favorite?

The heroine . . . she was just as tough and daring as the hero.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Continued the Callahan Series, Book 2 perhaps, so it was nice to visit the characters again.

Any additional comments?

Don't overlook other Callahan books because of this review. I just finished reading Secret Sins involving Sheriff Archer Tobias and Anna Corbin and really enjoyed it.

Like Lora Leigh? Love this book!

Need to read or listen to first one to really get all of this one, but it was a great book to listen to in the series. Hot sex, true love angst, murder, suspense, WoW! Everything you expect from Ms. Leigh.

A little overboard

Would you recommend Deadly Sins to your friends? Why or why not?

No - I like a hot, steamy sex scene in a book as much as anyone else, but can't you leave a little something to the imagination?

A terrifically exciting super hot romance

Ms Leigh does it again, so many twists, you find out more details each book. The love story between Sky & Logan was off the charts with feelings. Let’s not forget the adorable puppy “Bella” and an unusual real wolf jumping to save the day when the guy who her rescued her as a pup was threatened. So many great things in this story including very erotic love scenes. Don’t miss it, this one was much easier to follow than book 1, but I would recommend you start with that one.

My Favorite of the Sins Series But....

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, this series is poorly edited - there is so much repetition. There are also SO many minor characters to keep track of...while they do contribute at different times over the three books-I felt it difficult to keep them straight.

Underdeveloped and Choppy NOT Her Best Series

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Confused....

Witnesses to a shocking crime, three men must face the dangers of the past to unlock the passion in their hearts....

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Clare Claremont?

Clare Claremont's voice sounds too old for the 20 & 30 year old characters.

Was Deadly Sins worth the listening time?

I've listened to the series two times. I won't listen again. The story is there, it is just difficult to find it.

Any additional comments?

I LOVE Lora Leigh's Elite Ops series - the story lines are clean and concise. Not my experience with the Sin series ... the rest have been sort of hit or miss with me and Lora Leigh.

I'm not into the paranormal/Breeds genre -so my reviews do not include those works.

Must love a good mystery

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

good story line. very intriguing but it requires book 1 and 3 or more to learn the end of the story.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

author weaves 3 stories into one long one. Keeps listener interested with a good tale.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Narrator ok, but not my favorite.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

yes this would make a good movie

Sequel issues

Not as good as the first but I can't wait until the third to see how it ends. The narrator isn't as good as the one for the first book, the story line is drawn out and I don't think the sex scenes are as well written but again, I want to know what happens and whodunit so I'll keep reading.
