Airport Ranger volunteer Stacy Broussard expected a peaceful Saturday morning ride around the perimeter of Houston's airport. What she encounters instead is a brutal homicide and a baffling mystery. Next to the body is an injured dog, the dead man's motorcycle, and a drone armed with a laser capable of taking down a 747.
Though FBI Special Agent Alex LeBlanc sees a clear-cut case of terrorism, his past has taught him to be suspicious of everyone, even witnesses. Even bleeding-heart veterinarians like Stacy. But when her gruesome discovery is only the first in a string of incidences that throw her life into a tailspin, Alex begins to wonder if Stacy was targeted. As a health emergency endangers Stacy's community, and the task force pulls in leads from all directions, Alex and Stacy must work together to prevent another deadly encounter.

I love Christian fiction and cozy mysteries. I'm blind now, so I listen to all my books.
Mrs. Mills does extensive research for her books and it shows, I truly appreciate it. As always this was an engaging and intriguing novel. The story of Stacey, Alex and Whit was heartwarming. The suspense was masterful. The narrator gave an excellent performance, this added another rich dimension to this superior book. As always I'm looking forward to more by DiAnn Mills.
This was an incredible romantic suspense, so much so that I had to stop listening several times just to get my breath back. I loved Witt what an incredible young man I would love to see how he turns out snd what he does. Alex and Stacy are a great couple and I can see what an awesome family they are going to be.
The narration was fantastic and really added to my enjoyment. I will be rereading this book again.
very riveting story and engrossing action. very evolved plot. exceptional read. liking forward to future books in the series
I love DIAnn Mills books. Usually I also love the narrator. This time though it was so distracting I had trouble even paying attention. Please go back to your past narrator. May have to go away from audible books if you use this narrator again.
So, this was a recommended read through Amazon under 'clean romance'. Sounded interesting so I went with it. The story was fine just not really a 'romance'. It was squeaky clean. Just a bit slow and dramatic when I was hoping for a bit more fluff.
