A no-nonsense female cop reluctantly teams up with the one man who makes her lose control in a deliciously sensual new novel from New York Times best-selling author Lori Foster.
To bring down a sleazy abduction ring, Lieutenant Margaret "Margo" Peterson has set herself up as bait. But recruiting Dashiel Riske as her unofficial partner is a whole other kind of danger. Dash is 6'4" of laid-back masculine charm, a man who loves life - and women - to the limit. Until Margo is threatened, and he reveals a dark side that may just match her own. Beneath Margo's tough facade is a slow-burning sexiness that drives Dash crazy. The only way to finish this case is to work together side by side - skin to skin. And as their mission takes a lethal turn, he'll have to prove he's all the man she needs - in all the ways that matter.

Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
Lori Foster is one of my most favorite Authors. I buy all her books as you always get an Action packed Hot and Sexy listen. This series (Love Undercover) is Lori at her best. I LOVE all her characters and especially all the Alpha Men. No spoilers but you've read this series you’ll be happy to know that all previous characters are involved herein. This is yet another reason I tend to enjoy Ms. Foster’s series, she has a wonderful way of including previous couples. While still secondary - they flow easily throughout the story, important but supportive and not taking any focus away from the main couple. In this one, we get the bonus of an introduction to a spin-off series coming soon which will take the character of Cannon - a young MMA style fighter who is one of those secondary characters I mentioned that’s already made a big impression on me. I always knew Cannon would get a story but she’s commingled characters from her beloved SBC Fighters series here…
This story has it all and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's also full of Lori's wonderfully described Sex/Love scenes. Always a big plus when listening to the great Lori Foster... Once again Jim Frangione out one him-self and delivered a perfect narration. BIG Smiles all round here. :)

Read It File It Review: Dash of Peril by Lori Foster was not my favorite in the series but seeing all my favorite characters made me smile! This was a tough review for me to write because most of this series has been spectacular for me (Rowdy's book was a rare 5 for me) but I just never connected with the love story between Dash and Margo. That happens occasionally. The writing was great (as always) and I am really looking forward to the spin-off with Cannon!
Narrated by: Jim Frangione /Length: 14 hrs
Jim Frangione did a great job with Dash of Peril by Lori Foster. He had just the right amount of attitude for both of the lead characters. I think I enjoyed the book a bit more because of his narration.
Way Way tooooo much sex, I got so sice of the Nipple sucking and the two finger and thumb job, to enjoy the plot.....80% of the book was sex......and compared to 50 shade's of Grey, all the series are tooooo much sex. but 20% of the book was good...
Good Books Don't Promote Violence
I found Dash of Peril, the fourth book in this series, to be full of outdated stereotypes and cartoonish characters.
Margo, a police lieutenant, was portrayed as a bull busting, rigid woman afraid to show any emotion, including sexuality. The assumption being that only woman who act like men can be successful in dangerous occupations like law enforcement. Of course Margo, like all assertive, professional women, secretly desired to be sexually dominated and controlled by a man. Gag, gag!
Dash, Logan's brother (book 1) had previously been described as an easy-going, good hearted man - loyal brother and friend. Suddenly Dash morphed into a dominating jerk who only wanted to play control games with Margo. He kept saying how he KNEW what Margo wanted and needed, without asking or listening. Rather than being sexy, I thought his bossiness and arrogance was totally obnoxious.
In my opinion, the sex scenes were more like war games than erotic or sensual. Dash acted so condescending toward Margo that I wanted to scream. She also allowed her parents to treat her with contempt, so I guess Margo was accustomed to degrading behavior. While Dash was physically attentive to Margo as she recovered from a murder attempt, I thought Margo deserved a man who treated her with respect.
Too much sex.
Not Lori Foster.....she is forgetting that all books need a good plot.
Have always loved Lori Foster books, but lately all she writes is sex oriented. Almost every chapter had this as the number one focus. Too much already. Get back to writing stories that are fun to read....Sex is fine as part of the story. But it should not be sex with a little story written around it for support..
Lori Foster definitely. I'll go out of my way NOT to listen to another book read by Jim Frangione.

Nothing. It sounds like he's in a bathroom. There is this weird clicking noise sometimes that I think is him taking a breath. Very irritating. He does no voices so it's very boring.
There was a few too many sex scenes. I can't believe I said that but it's true for this story. A little over the top
