Broc and Sonya

This is the sixth book in the Dark Sword series and is a part of the greater Dark World. Donna Grant does create a wonderful world, with many fantastical creatures. So, if you find this book compelling and entertaining, the world does continue and evolve. This series was read as a part of the Audible Escape package.

This is the story of Broc and Sonya. He is the winged Warrior who was double agent in Diedre’s mist. He saved people when he could, an example of this was when he saved two little druids one of which was a baby Sonya. Sonya is a healer that talks to the trees. When she believes she loses her power she runs away from the safety of the Castle and Broc. Will she gain the confidence that will give her all she has lost and everything she has ever wanted?

A COMPELLING EXCITING PASSIONATE MYTHICAL TALE

This is my 6th review of this fantastic paranormal romance series and I have said it all before - but if you're like me and love paranormal/romance then you're looking for:-

An interesting rollercoaster paranormal plot and sub plots.
A passionate and sexy love story.
Great characters you can love and hate.
Thrills, magic and emotions.
Some sexy handsome hunks.
A creative gifted author who paints for us an imaginary fantasy world.
Last, but not least, a narrator who breathes life into each and every character.

Well, this book and the whole series, has all of the above and much more........ as this book and the series finishes with time travel and all are brought into the 21st century, the Dark Warrior series now starts.

Worth a credit? I have already listened to 2 books in the new series (as the Dark Sword series were not all released and then out of order) and I'm now going to relisten to the 2 Dark Warrior books - I've now used 10 credits and I don't regret any - so that would be a YES. (((*_*)))

So where does this go?? Next in the series?? Do you really want to leave it like this?? I have followed the entire series but it would be nice if this was continued with “next in series”.

ENJOYED THIS ENTIRE SERIES

I loved this entire series, and I don't usually like paranormal stories. This one had me going from book to book within the same day. May not be for all...however, I really enjoyed it.

If you could sum up Darkest Highlander in three words, what would they be?

I began with the Dark Kings books not realizing Donna had begun this tale with the Dark Sword series. So I began with book 1. Now that I have completed the Dark Sword series, I cannot wait to hear the next. I have enjoyed every second of listening and recommend it highly. Donna Grant is a Master and being suspended in her fantasy is one of my greatest audio book experiences.

What other book might you compare Darkest Highlander to and why?

Elder Races compares but not as well connected in story lines

Have you listened to any of Antony Ferguson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. And I began midnight master missing his narrative skills.

It made me smile and giggle!

Great story, need a better narrator.

Loved it but I wish for a different narrator. Especially when doing Deidra's character, he makes her sound like a dying old man struggling with COPD.

Broc and Sonja

Broc rescued Sonja and her sister many years ago, while he was still with Deidre. They are attracted to each other but Broc feels he is cursed so he doesn't persue her.
Sonja flees the castle when she sees how Broc grieves over her sister and feels the loss of her magic. Broc is the one who is sent out to find Sonja.
After Broc finds her he is caught by wyverns and taken back to Deidre. While he is chained, Deidre informs him of another artifact. So when he escapes Sonja and him go in search of it.
Love the exciting end to this series, as it leads us into the next.
