Great book! But the reader was awful.

What can I say another great book by Christine Feehan. I really loved how Byron was so gentle and caring to Antoinetta. Makes me want to hear her play as well. You really need to get this book.

male reader

The male reader makes me laugh because the voice is to deep. Just used to listening to voices that are softer so it makes it easier to listen but the story was really good.

Different Story Line

Having read the previous books in this series, I've come to expect a certain formula, or style, to these stories. But this one really took a different turn. It was a nice change of pace, too. I was fascinated by the introduction of a new type of character. Antoinetta was also a great addition to the Carpathian family with her startling opinions of unusual events. She and Byron are beautiful together. In fact, the entire story could be called a beautiful symphony of mystery, hope, intrigue, and love.

Impressive in it's differences!

This was a more detailed story with a very different set of characters! I was impressed with its richness and humor, and thankfully, a lot less of the over-detailed sex scenes. The narrator did a pretty great job, although with his deeper timbre, had some trouble with the female parts, but nothing I couldn't live with! A really GREAT story!

Story really harmed by reader

The storyline is a very good one but absolutely destroyed by the reader. I really wish they would have both female and males read the words instead of a man or woman trying to do all the voices it just doesn’t work a majority of the time. This reader makes the female sound like a man and the male like a bad imitation of Dracula.

One of my favorites so far...

Not to fond of the male narrorators... as they do awful female voices. And lack the sensuality the "romance" novel is supposed to have, but the story is one of the best so far in the dark series :)

Something different

I really did enjoy this book for it was different from the previous novels in the series. That is a good thing. It made me laugh at several sections. I truly enjoyed this book.

Great Book...please get rid of the narrator

I just LOVE this series. However...Is it me???? I have hated this narrator for the last 5 books. He's droll. Irritating and his female voices bite. I only bought this book after listening to the last 4 by this narrator because Audible has the narrator listed as Kevin Free. Goodness was I freaked out when I heard that same cruddy voice. Shame on me for not listening to the sample.
