length and whinny

Claire was a bit whinny and I had to fast forward at times. Also, it can make the story too long when the main character constantly repeats things A LOT.

Always wonderful!

Bought this as a paperback several years ago, and it was a delight to have it as an audible. Claire and Malcolm are perfect! He’s a sweeter medieval man who loves his future woman with a desire and passion that can barely be expressed. Loved!

I will read the whole series

I don't know why everyone seems so critical of this book. I loved it and I loved the characters. When you read a book like this you have to open your mind.I found the female heroine to be very gutsy especially with what she faced. The only problem with the narrator was that she was slow, so I just increased the speed and it was fine. I will definitely read the rest of this series.

great story

as a fan of the Outlander series I enjoyed this time travel romance story. Interesting way to wrap it all up at the end.

Good series but narrator, so/so

Good story, great series. Would of picked another narrator though, she wasn't awful but she did had a tendency of trying to hard at times. And the voices are to much the same.

I could not even finish.

The story was stupid to say the least. From almost the first 15min. sex was taking over and the story itself had not even made sense. There was not real point built up around the sex and therefore it totally lacked any sensuality. After listening for about 1.5 hours I got sick of the pointless dumb sex. No way I'm going to listen to anymore of the series. Don't waste your time or credits.

Don't waste your points on this one

Between the bad narration and ridiculous plotline I was seriously displeased I didn't read the reviews on this first. What a waste of my time!

a complete waste of time

As a fan of Diana Gabaldon and Karen Marie Moning, I had high hopes for this to be an enjoyable book. Claire has to be one of the most irritating and unlikable characters ever. I've never been in a position before where I actually wished the main character dead. This book delivered that unique experience. Malcolm deserved a much better love interest - his character was much more interesting and likable.

So many problems…

1) the narrator was awful. She cannot do a Scottish accent
2) it isn’t a “pleasure crime”… it’s a rape
3) Malcolm is sexy, we get it. But otherwise he’s awful and he never gets better
4) Claire is awful and she never gets better
5) a pentagram is not an ancient symbol of evil and the devil
6) Most women don’t sob, weep, cry tears when they orgasm,

I liked the idea of this story, but I really hated this book. Won’t be giving the series any more time.

HORRIBLE AND BORING!!!

Please dont waste your money on this boring book! the narration was awful and the story was very drug out and boring...the female character was soo annoying and asked waaay too many questions! not a good one!
