A Pirate and a Dragon Lord

The Dark Prince takes place during the same time as The Perfect Prince except it is from Olena Leyton's, Intergalactic pirate/thief and Prince Yusef's point of view. Olena having to escape a bounty hunter, went in hiding by posing as a mail-order bride to a primitive planet, Qurilixen. Olena is counting on the days when her crew of pirate will find her and take her back to her ship in the galaxy.

Yusef is willing to fight to keep Olena with him as his wife. He would need to convince Olena to stay with him or risk being alone forever. When a dragon takes a wife, it is forever.

The narrator Mason Lloyd has a very nice and good voice. I didn't know how I would feel listening to a male voice. As soon as I heard the narrator's voice, I love the inflictions and tones that he uses in his narration of the book. It is done very well that if he is narrating any books in the Dragon Lords series, I would pick up another copy to listen to.

Would you listen to Dark Prince: Dragon Lords Anniversary Edition again? Why?

Absolutely. I really liked this story. Olena is a strong woman. She is active and athletic. She is very independent & knows what she wants in life. She's content with her life as a Pirate Captain. No one is going to get in her way.Yusef is very ready for a wife. All those lonely days living n the outskirts of the castle is about to change. He likes what he sees in Olena & can't wait to get to know her better. Olena is not shy. She tries to seduce him that first night. She is one fiesty gal!!! I loved her gusto & joie de vivre attitude. But the funny part was that for the longest time, Yusef had no idea what her name was. None of the Royal family did. It was a funny moment Yusef was presenting her to the King & Queen & could not name her. Yusef really loves her & just wanted the chance to show her.

Have you listened to any of Mason Lloyd’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. The narrator did a good job of conveying the story & the characters. I followed his narration just fine. It pulled me into the story & enjoyed listening very much!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When they both realized how much they they truly mean to each other.

Both of them get injured but were able to pull through. Olena had a secret that Yusef learned about in an intimate moment. For all her independence, this was a shocker. Due to her upbringing, she's had have a toughness to show that at least externally, she was to be feared. But inside, she's really vulnerable. She really never had a childhood. It was a very tragic childhood with dire consequences. Yusef & Olena learn to trust & be there for each other. I liked their story. I'm enjoying this series very much! I am looking forward to the rest of Dragon Lords stories.

What made the experience of listening to Dark Prince: Dragon Lords Anniversary Edition the most enjoyable?

The narration and characters! I especially liked Olena and Prince Yusef. Olena is a space pirate, who's feisty and brave. She's determine to leave the planet, and not fall for Prince Yusef; however, each heated moment Prince Yusef and her share, she's falling more and more for him...... now if only she could admit it!

When Prince Yusef was attached and Olena sensed he was hurt, she was determined to break free of her captures, and go to his aid. While he was recovering, Olena never left his side and I loved all the things she did to him in an attempt to bring him out of his comma.

What does Mason Lloyd bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I've listened to a lot of Mason Lloyd lately. Two totally different series, which I am currently listening too, are narrated by Mason and he does an excellent job!

3rd book in the series well written, fun, action packed and hot. I just love this series and I can't wait to read the restimate of them. Ah the sparks fly when they meet at the breeding feastable and keep on flying though the whole story lol. Great story miss pillow does an awesome job weaving this tale an no couple tale are alike.
