Publisher's summary

All new from the number one New York Times best-selling author.

As brutal as the undead he hunted, Zacarias De La Cruz was a master executioner. Now his stark and savage journey has ended. For his brothers, Zacarias had walked to the edge of madness, but with centuries as a killing machine now left to the past and without a hunt to define him, Zacarias wonders, for the first time in his life, who he really is.

The answer awaits him back home, in Peru, in the betrayal of a woman who is readying her trap, in the vengeance of an old enemy, in the inevitable consequences of a bloody family legacy - and in the deliverance of a lifemate he never could have imagined...

The last De La Cruz brother!

Book 22: Zacarias De La Cruz & Marguarita Fernandez. The last DelaCruz brother meets his lifemate. Their "integration" takes an interesting twist with his darkness and Marguarita being unable to speak. Narration: don't know why Ryan is not credited- I like her as female. Bergman is just ok. Don't know who decided to alternate them reading chapters and acting all voices...?

What a GREAT story...

Christine Feehan does not failed to deliver in this wonderful story of Zacharias and Margarita. The only thing that could've made this better was if his brothers and lifemates would've been incorporated somehow. A great story!

Love the dark series

I love y'all of the dark series but I feel like this book was a little drawn out and could have been better. I think just because her vocal cords were severed does mean she can't make full words in her head that's just dumb.

Dark Predator

While I enjoyed reading the book, I did not enjoy the narrators. I did not like that they read separately. It would have been better if they had interacted the male and female characters together. It would have made for a more enjoyable listening. It was difficult hearing the female narrator reading the male sections and same with the male narrator. It made for a very disjointed listening experience. Dark Peril and Dark Slayer were so much better as the narrators Phil Gigante and Jane Brown did their parts interactively so it was a good dialogue between the characters in the appropriate male/female voices.

LOVE the Dark Series

I absolutely LOVE the Dark Series and cannot wait for more of them in the future, but I have to say this one just did not have the punch for me like most of the others, I was not hanging on to find out what happens next. I prefer the US or Carpathian Mountains setting for the location of the story lines, maybe that's my problem. I love the series and will continue to read them!!!

The Narrators are wonderful !

I'm a big fan of Christine Feehan's Dark Series and this audiobook version blew me away. I LOVED the story. The narrators are wonderful and the female reader really brought the sweetness and strength of Marguarita across successfully. Additionally, the female narrator portrayed her various roles with flawless accents and she was charming and endearing. And the male reader is also excellent, contrasting her lightness with a deliberate smoldering sexiness. I found their fight for love through this book deeply emotional and I highly recommend it !

stunning story

the flow and drama in the story was mind captivating. the only thing I didn't like was how the narrators didn't do it like the last couple of books where the male read the male lines and the female read the female lines instead the male would read all lines or the female would. so the voice accent isn't constant for the characters.

The scary one finally falls.

Finally,Zacarius' story is told. I felt this was a little bit too long in the tooth, plot wise but still a good story. Margarita was the stronger character and a delight. Zacarius was still his arrogant self but Margarita was more than a match for him. If you are a true Feehan fan you will like this addition to the series.
