Publisher's summary

Bestselling author Kresley Cole continues her seductive Immortals After Dark series with this tale of a vampire shunned even by his own kind and a beautiful phantom, bound together by a passion they cannot resist.

A RAVEN-HAIRED TEMPTRESS OF THE DARK...

Néomi Laress, a famous ballerina from a past century, became a phantom the night she was murdered. Imbued with otherworldly powers but invisible to the living, she haunts her beloved home, scaring away trespassers - until she encounters a ruthless immortal even more terrifying than Néomi herself.

A VAMPIRE WARRIOR CONSUMED BY MADNESS...

To prevent him from harming others, Conrad Wroth's brothers imprison him in an abandoned manor. But there, a female only he can see seems determined to drive him further into madness. The exquisite creature torments him with desire, leaving his body racked with lust and his soul torn as he finds himself coveting her for his own.

HOW FAR WILL HE GO TO CLAIM HER?

Yet even if Conrad can win Néomi, evil still surrounds her. Once he returns to the brutality of his past to protect her, will he succumb to the dark needs seething inside him?

Excellent book.

Love the lore. Vampires, demons and lykae, oh my!
Kresley Cole NEVER disappoints. Every book takes you on a separate journey - yet the stories are so beautifully intermingled you feel like you're seeing old friends again.

Great Story

As the ones before this, excellent story and narration. Néomi and Conrad had such complicated stories but deserved the unconventional love they found with one another. The French accent was awesome, although three me for a loop. I wondered how Néomi had such a strong French accent when she was born and raised in Louisiana/America. I know her mother was French but I expected a more southern Creole/Cajun Louisiana accent... but whatevs...great story!!

Best in the Wroth series

Finally a book with a male virgin and a livin large ghost who knows her way around the bedroom. Empowering, sweet, and temptation incarnate (literally).

Wow this is my Favorite …

Petkoff created a truly unique voice for Conrad he’s crazed and violent yet vulnerable and when in a rage I could envision Petkoff sitting with his lines and mic fake vamp teeth in so he could sound authentic… teeth elongating throat thick spittle flying. Just wow! The emotion infused into Conrad’s portrayal was fantastic my chest swelled with anxiety when he was in a rage and fighting my heart ached and my eyes misted when he thought he lost his Quarry, gah the way his voice broke. Naomi’s voice was just as fabulous feminine believable French accent sultry delicate expressive. Not to mention that he carried Bowen’s growling Scottish accent over as well as Mari’s youthfulness Nix’s nutty humor and many others. 5 Plus Plus Plus Stars for Petkoff! Well done! He’s my NEW favorite audio voice talent.

As for the book Conrad is my favorite character thus far. He’s amazingly dynamic; an incredibly sinister and powerful assassin hundreds of years old full of rage and hate and vengeance. He seems cold and unforgiving but he’s got this hidden core of innocence that’s written believably and in combination with his intensity and violence creates a very invested reading experience. I am rooting for Conrad 100%. I loved the nickname Quarry that he gave to his bride Naomi he is a predator after all it’s fitting and cute. Naomi was passionate and feisty and sexy, strong with out having powers or immortality or super strength or bad ass fighting skills. Strength of will and ambition and filled with joy and mischief. I loved how forced by her ghostly status they had a slow burn that was unique and still steamy with out any physicality. The wall scene had zero touching it was all verbal and yet it was extremely sexy Petkoff giving voice to their tortured passion only made it more so. Their journey and ending made me feel warm and fuzzy and looking forward for more in this series.

WHAT A BRRRRILIANT SERIES

Wow - couldn't stop listening to this fantastic continuation to a great paranormal romance series.

Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Ghosts and many many more creatures inhabit the world that K.C has created and that R.P. narrates with his magic voices that bring each character to life. It's a tense roller coaster ride for your emotions as the plot throws one twist after another.

Worth a credit? Oh YES and then some - keep em coming Ms. Cole.

Great Story Great Narrator

Would you consider the audio edition of Dark Needs at Night's Edge to be better than the print version?

I had read the print version of this book and decided to get the audio version as well because I like the IAD series. Kesley Cole is one of my favourite writers she delivers a good story with strong characters and a few laughs along the way.T

What other book might you compare Dark Needs at Night's Edge to and why?

Story continues the IAD series so you should read the books in order, you wont be sorry One of the best paranormal books out there

What about Robert Petkoff’s performance did you like?

The audio version of this book and the other IAD audio books performed by Robert Petkoff are the best audio books out there, I bought the other titles as well because I liked Robert Petkoffs performance of the books. Great choice of narrator he makes the story come to life

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
