Publisher's summary

She thought she was finally safe...

After two years of running, Tegan O'Kelly could finally stop when the deadly gangster after her died. Eight months ago she put down roots in sunny Miami. For the first time in years she has friends, a job she likes, and she can think about the future, not just surviving to the next day. When her car is bombed in broad daylight, she decides to stand her ground instead of running from her faceless enemy.

But a deadly enemy has her in his crosshairs...

Single father Aaron Fitzpatrick knew Tegan was trouble from the moment he laid eyes on her. Sexy trouble wrapped up in a petite, dynamite package he fantasizes about kissing far too often. So far he's been able to keep his distance, but when he witnesses her car explode - with her close by - something protective erupts inside him. After his wife left him and their son five years ago, he's stayed away from relationships and women, but he can't keep his distance from Tegan. It's clear she's in danger, and the more he learns about her, the more he knows he has to stand beside her and fight the danger hunting her.

Another entertaining story in this series

I have listened and/or read most of the Red Stone Security series and have truly enjoyed all of them. That said, this story is one of my favorite . Likely because the main male character, Aaron Fitzpatrick is a single dad with an adorable son and the female character, Tegan O’Kelly is a strong, resourceful woman in spite of being on the run in order to stay alive . A fact that no one knows.
Aaron is one of Red Stone Security employees and frequently gets his coffee at the location Tegan works. Tegan is attracted to him but she has secrets and circumstances have made her live under the radar for quite a while. Besides, he seems grumpy, and though he too is attracted to her, he has been burned by a woman and is not looking for a relationship. When her car is bombed just outside the coffee shop, Aaron steps in to protect Tegan.
The plot is engaging and the characters are complex. There is suspense, bad guys, good guys and of course , romance. This one is sweeter and the hotness milder than previous books , but just as touching. In addition to that , this time we have more time spent with family , in this case Aaron’s . I think having a child and a dog in the plot makes that difference.
Ms Reus has given us another winner in this well written series.
The narrator, Sophie Eastlake, does an excellent job with the various voices of the characters.

Great Series!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book; this is the fourteenth book in the Red Stone Security series written by Katie Reus and narrated by Sophie Eastlake.

The narrator Sophie Eastlake did a great job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to in one sitting and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.

If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

Great read and listen..

A good story about Aaron and Tegan, and who’s out to kill Tegan. It can’t be De Fiore because he was murdered 8 months ago. So, now the hunt is on.

Aaron was a great hero, his five year old son Dillon was sweet secondary character, and Tegan was a great character, until she had her too TSTL moment. Why do authors want to write about women who leave, or try to leave, their love interest to protect them, like the men can’t take care of her or themselves? It’s just silly, and it part of the plot in more books than I care to remember.

This was a really good story, except for Tegan’s “moment.” It had, drama, murder, mystery, everything you’d want in a book, other than a plain old book with page after page of angst.

As to the narrator: As always Ms. Eastlake did a great job. She just lacks in the area of doing what the book calls for. If she ever laughed when the book says to I think I’d faint. She does great voices but she needs to work on relaying her emotions.

Aaron wants her but she doesn't know !!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would. It has suspense, romance and the narrator does an excellent job.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dangerous Protector?

When Aaron figures out that his mother and son always come in to see Tegan when she hands him some treats from her shop to take to them.

Which character – as performed by Sophie Eastlake – was your favorite?

Sophie Eastlake handles all the characters very well but she blew it out of the park with Aaron.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Red Stone Securities at your service

Another winner

I just love all of Katie Reus books. I love how these men don't sleep or date anyone once they meet the heroine. This book had some cute parts that made me laugh at the inner action between the 2. I am looking forward to more in this series. Hope it never ends.

Red Stone Security Triumphs

Tegan O'Kelly wants to stay in Miami and start her new life here. The gangster hunting her is dead and she's safe. Until her car is bombed in broad daylight. Who is this new enemy? Aaron Fitzpatrick is attracted to this beautiful redhead, but he doesn't want to be. His ex-wife walked out on him and their son. Now he's afraid to trust another woman. When he sees Tegan in danger his protective instincts kick in. No one will hurt her and he's the perfect man to keep her safe. After all he works for Red Stone Security. Let the hunt begin. I love a feisty heroine and Tegan fits the bill. She is intelligent and brave. She loves Aaron and his son, Dillon, is a charmer. Aaron is a great father and an honorable man. He keeps his emotions bottled up and is determined to make sure his boy is loved and protected. This made me fall for Him. I wanted these three to become a family. Chemistry is no problem for Aaron and Tegan. Their attraction is powerful. They just need to find out who is after Tegan and neutralize the threat. Katie Reus does a wonderful job writing romantic suspense. These two characters quickly become people that I care about. I want them to triumph over adversity and find their HEA. Dangerous Protector is a powerful story filled with unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. Miami at Christmas is beautiful and deadly. The narration by Sophie Eastlake makes these characters come to life. She intensifies their passion and the audio ramps up the suspense. Listening to audiobooks is a great way to enjoy Red Stone Security.
