The steamy sequel to the New York Times best-selling new adult novel Damaged by H.M. Ward.
Home isn't supposed to be dangerous, but for Sidney it is. Returning home means that she has to face her past. It's not just the man who hurt Sidney that makes it horrible, but the family that didn't believe her. They were dead to her, but now that her mom is really dying things seem different. It's a chance to set things right. What Sidney doesn't realize is that she's dragging Peter into a collision course with his past. Peter must deal with the demons haunting him if he wants to move forward with Sidney. He's willing to give up everything for her, even wade deeper into his past life to help her move forward. But, Peter isn't sure if he can get over what happened to him in New York.

I'm proud to be a bookaholic...addicted, obsessed, passionate!!! My favorite way to relax & escape reality....
Sidney makes the decision to go home and see her dying mother. Unfortunately, she is still in danger so Peter goes with her regardless that he will have to face his own secret past. We end up meeting Peter's interesting family and learn about his dark secrets. Sidney is forced to face her worst nightmare. Peter & Sidney learn to build trust and love each other. I found this book much better than the first.
I loved this book almost as much as Fifty Shades of Grey! Excellent hot love story, suspenseful mystery, and just outstanding story altogether! One minute you are crying and then you are rolling with laughter! This is my very favorite kind of story and the author completely hit the mark on this one. I would absolutely recommend it!
This book is much better than the first book. I wasn't sure if I wanted to read this book b/c I did not feel that the 1st book was that good but I am glad that I did. This book was much more fun to read. It was really funny at times due to the banters between Sidney and Peter that made me laughed out loud. Sidney was witty and Peter did not back down from whatever they were fighting about. As the story unfolded, we learned more about Peter's life and what led him to this point in his life. Also, we learned more about his family. I hope that we will have a set book for Peter's brother, Sean and his call girl, Ivory.
Although I enjoyed this book it was one of those that just does not stay with you after you finish reading it. It is has a good story but nothing surprising. I think it was better than the first book for plot twists and excitement. I would recommend it but if you are looking for something that keeps you enthralled and still has hot steamy scenes then I would say this will fall short. I would go for a book more like Kyra Davis' "Just One Night" However, it was a nice listen and had enough substance to keep you going.
"An excellent part2"
Not sure how to review both Damaged and Damaged 2 in one go but here goes. It really is difficult not to gush about both books, which really feel like one book as essentially they both are the same story so I refer to both as one book. I've no idea why they've been split into two I'm just grateful I read prt1 when prt2 was already out so didn't have to face the frustrating and agonysing wait.
This really is one of the most gripping and interesting romance stories I've read for a while. Prt 1 starts off a bit slow and I was thinking it was too 'airheady' with not enough brain or heart but it really turns it around after a few chapters you do get sucked in. A very easy read/ listen but with just enough action, turnmoil, romance to keep engaged and not groaning.
You won't be dissapointed, unless you want something sexually steamy, which this is not. I think both covers are perhaps a tad misleading.
