Cupid, the God of Love, is no longer doing his job of creating romance. A disastrous mistake he’d made a quarter of a century ago forced him to put down his bow and arrow for good.
Valentina Hart has never had any luck with men, and her last boyfriend was no prize by far. An unexpected meeting with a hot guy suddenly turns her sex life from non-existent to… DAMN.
But, will Cupid’s secret drive Val away forever? Or will she stick around to show him what true and unconditional love really is?

Cupid the God of Love has fallen head over heels in love with Valentina. But he will not reveal that to her for many reasons One something horrible happened over 25 years ago and he has no plans of ever going through that again.
YES !!!! the whole cncept of this story is so different great storyline and narrators
none stands by itself
as usual AWESOME they make any book come to life
if you like mythology with a twist this is for you
I love the vulnerability and insecurity of not just Cupid, but the other gods as well.
It's a really sweet love story.
I enjoyed both Somnibus and Hercules. The meddling but well meaning jocks were great fun and they were well read.
Probably not. I listened to it over a couple of days. The almost three hours at one sitting is a bit long, even for a good story and the chapter breaks came at natural places to take a break and come back later.
I liked the story well enough I'd like to see what the rest of the series is like.
This was the sweetest book. I love that the human woman was strong enough to take on the Gods and win them over. I had a sweet cry near the end. The story was playful and had the fairytale feel of many of Nicole Garcia's books. The narrators, Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross, are excellent and do the dual point of view stories better than anyone. I am such a fan of this author/narrator combo and look forward to more stories in this series. I want to know what Cue's pals get up to and hope more are coming soon.
This book was such a wonderful read, it was filled with love of course and laughter along with a few twists and oh no's. It had it all. Who would of thought the God's had so much pressure on themselves and their powers. I loved everything about Val and when Cupid finally had the opportunity to speak with her.. oh how sweet it is. The story took such a turn that I was not expecting but happy with the results in the end. I would love to read more about these men, such a great read. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
I enjoyed this short read! Great imaginative spin on mythology! Definitely great when you don't have a lot of reading time on your hands! Nicole does a good job of telling the full story with such a small amount of words! I loved Valentina's and Cupid's chemistry! Such a sweet & spicy read!! I can't wait to read about the other characters in the series!
I received this as a gift from the author and voluntarily left my honest review.
Light hearted, Emotional, HEA
This was a totally different spin on the Gods and Mythology. We got to see a more 'human' side to the Gods, and boy...some of them cracked me up! The love story of Cupid and Valentina was amazing and I loved how the narrators spliced in certain elements to the convos of Val and Cupid (i.e., Valentina's moans and giggles) Totally cool!
As much as I loved Cupid and Valentina, I have to tell you Somnus was my fav.
I love the narration by Kai and Wen. They have a chemistry that translated into the narration, and while this was my first Kai/Wen listen, I'll look for more of their productions. I'm also hoping that Somnus will have a story. Since he's my fav and all, they way the story left off, I'm kinda guessing there 'could be' more????
Cupid the god of love has fallen in love with a human girl. But due to what he sees as a mistake he hasn't been working in a long while. He denys he is in love although everyone else can see it. He ends up rushing to her side one afternoon on Earth then another day and another and well he is the god of love. Another misunderstanding threatens to ruin both of their happiness and doom him to the underworld unless his friends can help him m see the error of his way. I give this 5 stars and the voices reading it were amazing!
