Publisher's summary

Count your blessings; they can be snatched away in an instant. It is a sentiment Milla Edge knows too well. With an astonishing blend of savvy, instinct, and passion, Milla displays an uncanny gift for finding lost children. When all seems helpless, desperate souls from across the country come to her for hope and results. Driven by an obsessive desire to fill the void in other people's lives, Milla throws herself into every case - all the while trying to outrun the brutal emotions stemming from a horrific tragedy in her past.

Traveling to a small village in Mexico on a reliable tip, Milla begins to uncover the dire fate of countless children who have disappeared over the years in the labyrinth of a sinister baby-smuggling ring. The key to nailing down the organization may rest with an elusive one-eyed man. To find him, Milla joins forces with James Diaz, a suspicious stranger, known as the Tracker, who conceals his own sinister agenda.

As the search intensifies, the mission becomes more treacherous. For the ring is part of something far larger and more dangerous, reaching the highest echelons of power and influence. Caught between growing passion and imminent peril, Milla suddenly finds herself the hunted - in the crosshairs of an invisible, lethal assassin who aims to silence her permanently.

Actually pretty good....

I really liked this Linda Howard read. Linda did her research here, the writing and topics were very interesting to me. I connected with the main characters, and even cried at the end. The romance was believable and steamy! The narration was excellent.

A woman who keeps to her word

If you could sum up Cry No More in three words, what would they be?

Shocking, riveting, emotional.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Cry No More?

There are so many I can't choose just one.

What about Joyce Bean’s performance did you like?

I thought the reader was excellent. Into the story without going over the top.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Milla is a woman who when she makes a promise she sticks to it. There were a few moments when she could have broke promises but never did. That is a strong woman.

Any additional comments?

I was incredibly compelled by the characters in this book. I loved how different everyone was and what made them click. I know that this will be one that I will read over again.

Just might listen to more by this author

What did you love best about Cry No More?

It was unique compared to most romance novels in the sense that the heroine's storyline was based on her search for her missing child. Given how saturated the genre is, it was refreshing to listen to something that wasn't a total cookie-cutter romance.

What did you like best about this story?

The heroine felt very real -- very flesh-and-blood -- but widely relatable. And she wasn't a total pushover.

Which scene was your favorite?

The ending.

Any additional comments?

This is a romance, so, yes, there are sex scenes in it. But I thought they were well written. The extremes in the romance genre are totally cheesy and utterly depraved. In this book, they reached neither extreme, but still contained plenty of steam.

FASCINATING

Am only part way through this. One of the few novels that even the ending cannot dim my interest. Coming from a medical background, the author is almost intuitive. Heart wrenching and intelligent.

Story of love, loss and searching for justice!

If you could sum up Cry No More in three words, what would they be?

exciting, satisfying, sad

What was one of the most memorable moments of Cry No More?

Cry No More has an amazing conclusion. It brings out such strong emotions, both happy and sad.

Which scene was your favorite?

There are too many!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me laugh and cry!

Any additional comments?

My boyfriend is not going to read this book so I told him the storyline, from beginning to end. There were three times when I got choked up and struggled to tell him the story. When I told him the end I really started crying! Love it when that happens!! These were good tears...
