Publisher's summary

Bell Harbor is a one-million copy bestselling series.

If Sadie Turner is good at anything, it’s putting stuff in order. So when she finds her “perfect” life in disarray, she hopes a summer vacation at her aunt’s lake house will help her piece it back together. She wants to relax, reboot, and heal the wounds left by her cheating ex-husband. And that requires time away from men. All men.

Or so she thinks.

With two slobbering dogs and two cousins living there - one a flamboyant decorator intent on making over Sadie - it’s hard to get a moment’s peace at eccentric Aunt Dody’s house, especially with everyone so determined to set her up with Desmond, the sexy new neighbor.

Desmond is Sadie’s worst nightmare. Tall, tanned, muscular...and to top it off, he’s great with her kids. But he must have a flaw - he’s a man - so Sadie vows to keep her distance.

As summer blazes on, the life Sadie is trying so hard to simplify only becomes more complicated - a new career presents itself, her evil ex haunts her, and Aunt Dody reveals a tragic secret - but maybe a little chaos is just what Sadie needs to get her life back in order.

Fun story!

I enjoyed the story. The only drawback was the tone of voice used for Aunt Doddy. It was a bit high pitched. But overall a great read if your looking for something light and fun.

Just okay.

The lead character wasn't all that likable and the readers voice when she did the aunt character was really annoying. It wasn't a horrible book but not that great either. I would not recommend this book.

First time I've ever returned a book.

I have been a trucker for almost 7 years, and I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks. This is the first one I have ever taken the time to review, and this is the first one I have ever returned. This is the WORST narrator! I cannot imagine what made this woman use the voice she decided to use for the Aunt Dody character. It was a nose bleeding, blood pressure raising, assault on my ears. At one point, after a quiet calm conversation between the H and h, Dody's voice came screeching (it is LITERALLY a screech) over the speakers and I dang near ran off the road it startled me so badly. I will absolutely never listen to another book this woman narrates, because frankly, I think she has bad judgement and I like myself too much to practice self torture. Seriously, its horrific. I gave the story a three even though I didn't finish because I couldn't burden the author with the narrators cross.

Another light, fun story that made me laugh and want to find out how things ended. Just a fun read.

Couldn't do it...

I am sure the novel is great but the narrator was terrible. Not to sound too harsh but I felt like a 3 year old listening to someone read to me over enthusiastically in order to keep my attention. Pretty bummed but I'll probably end up reading the book on my own when I get a chance.

Terrible headache from the narrator

The story was ok (nothing special), but the narrator was awful. Her normal voice is nice, but the Scottish accent is laughable, and the screechy voice she uses for the females and children gave me a horrible headache. I had to take my earbuds out when the aunt was speaking.

Couldn't finish

Narration was wonky, I could not finish the book. I think I'll pick it up to read on my kindle later.
