Billionaire Archer Bancroft always gets what he wants - and he’s wanted Ivy Emerson, his best friend’s sister, for far too long. Being forbidden and untouchable only makes her more tempting. When a million-dollar bet with his friends throws down a challenge - last bachelor standing takes it all - Archer knows he can win. That is, until one enchanted evening with Ivy takes his heart for a ride.
Ivy knows Archer is nothing but bad news: Infuriating, arrogant…and completely intoxicating. But despite her best efforts, she can’t seem to keep away. When a stolen kiss leads to a night of heated passion, Ivy realizes she’s in trouble and in head over heels. But in the light of day, everything seems clearer and Archer’s not so sure a one-night stand is all he wants. Concocting a plan to keep Ivy by his side, Archer might just be willing to lose this bet…and win the jackpot instead.

I understand the logic behind using a male and female voice for the characters but there was no consistency. The book changed POV from chapter to chapter and instead of adding to the story it distracted me from it. For example: Male voice, Female in male voice, than Female voice, Male in Female voice. I understand the book was written this way, but the performance could have executed it better. Mr. Damron's imitation of the lead female was far more tolerable (and preferable) than Ms. Eyre's performance. Ivy's longing for Archer (from her POV) came off as irritating and petulant. This performance put me on edge and I had a headache after the first hour.
A different narrator for IVY.
YES, Will is fine but Justine's voice is like fingernails sliding down a chalkboard. Very rough & nasally.
Books are to me what exercising is to those enthusiast. My pleasure is sitting down with a good book, its like" Calgon it takes me away"
Anyone not interested in a story just wanted the sexual content
No I was willing to purchase entire three book series. started to listen but got very disinterested very quickly. i knew the content and results from the beginning
Justine Eyres readings seem to fit Historical Novels much better.William Damron's reading not my favorite
The story wasn't too bad and the male narration was great, but the female narration...terrible. The voice did not fit the character and sounded too gravelly and whiny. I couldn't finish the novel it was so bad.
I love reading but don't have time. The audiobooks allow me to hear the books I want to read. I love audible!
It was an okay story I think because it was so short it was rushed. I liked the characters just wished it had more.
Lover of all books, especially Romance!
This book is great for the light quickie listen. Enjoyed the characters and narration. Its not a 5 by a longshot but good for those that like light sex and lots of romance. Me just need a little more hard core for a 5 but enjoyable nonetheless.
IN THIS GROUP OF BOOKS, ITS PROBABLY AT THE TOP. I LOVE THE SNYED HUMOR AND THE LITTLE HINTS OF BOTH OF THEM BEING JUST A LITTLE SHY TO EACH OTHER. THIS IS A BOOK I COULD LISTEN TO AGAIN, ITS JUST A GREAT BOOK. I LIKE THAT THE FRIENDS STAYED TOGETHER AS SUCH GOOD FREINDS.
THATS TOUGH, THE MALE ONLY BECAUSE HE IS TRYING TO RUN A VERY SUCCESFUL BUSINESS AND MAINTAING A WORKING/ INTIMATE RELATIONS WITH A WOMEN AND NOT JUST A WOMEN, HIS FRIENDS LITTLE SISTERL. A GREAT STORY THAT DOESNT JUST FOCUS ON HIS WEATLH, IT BRINGS JUST ENOUGH MIX IN TO MAKE IT INTERESTING.
NOPE THIS IS A FIRST, BUT DEFFINETLY WILL NOT BE THE LAST, VERY IMPRESSED.
YES, I THINK IS FINISHED IT START TO FINISH ON A TWO DAY ROAD TRIP.
IT WILL DEFFINETLY BRING BACK SOME SORT OF PERSONAL PAST HISTORY FOR YOU AND IT WILL MAKE YOU THINK , I WISH I COLD GO BACK IN TIME AND TRY THAT ONE TIME... WOULD BUY IT AGAIN.
