Seven deadly sins. Seven souls that must be saved. One more no-holds-barred battle between Jim Heron, a fallen angel with a hardened heart, and a demon with everything to lose.
Isaac Rothe is a black-ops soldier with a dark past and a grim future. The target of an assassin, he finds himself behind bars, his fate in the hands of his gorgeous public defender, Grier Childe. His hot attraction to her is a totally wrong-place-wrong-time kind of thing - and that’s before Jim Heron tells him his soul is in danger. Caught up in a wicked game with the demon who shadows Jim, Isaac must decide whether the soldier in him can believe that true love is the ultimate weapon against evil....

Loved this! I also loved the way she discretely blends this world in with her other series (Blackdagger Brotherhood Series) which I totally recommend you get your hands on. The narrator did an amazing job and can’t help but fall in love with the male characters. Totally enjoyed and cannot wait for her next instalment.
J. R. Ward writes this genre so perfectly...the tone, the characters, the plot is so...masculine and so wonderfully male. I don't know how else to describe the writing. I actually had to go to the website to discover J.R. Ward's gender!
I loved the first book, Covet, and I am totally hooked on Jim Heron's mission, as well as his character. And what a great villian in that Devina! Wow! Love that shape shifting and stillettos.
Such a terrific plot with the angels, demons, souls and special-ops. So cool! I cannot wait until September!
This is book 2 in the series. MUST read in sequential order. If you are a J.R. Ward fan, you will definitely become a huge fan of the "Fallen Angel" series. I can't wait until Sept. 2011 for ENVY to be released.
Angels & Demons, life and death, heaven and hell...Go into this series with an open mind, separating your childhood teachings in Sunday School from fiction. This book series is not meant to prove or disprove ones fundamental beliefs.
What an exciting, erotic, dramatic depiction of how the human race is manipulated by good and evil. I have listened to Both books in this series 3 times. I catch something differently smart and intelligent with each listen. J.R. Ward never adds senseless drivel. What an intelligent writer I find her to be.
I highly recommend this 2 book, soon to be a 3 book series. Eventually, there will be 7 books to cover all 7 deadly sins. A MUST buy. You will be hooked!
Loved it! The narrative does a wonderful job of using different voices for characters. I could listen to him all day. He also speaks naturally, no monotone. Exciting parts are read fast, etc.
I don't know if it is just me but I hated this novel! I absolutely love The Black Dagger Brotherhood series but found this book extremely boring and painful to get through. I found the plot completely unrealistic and the characters unlikeable. I am about 3/4 of the way through and am finding that I have to force myself to listen to it and that is only because I paid good money for it so feel obligated to finish it. Don't waste your credits and stick to the original series!
I'm not a fan of the sappy girly romances...this is a perfect example of a manly (if that is possible) romance. The narrator is wonderful as well. When is the next one coming out????!!!!
I loved Covet..I looked forward to this next book in the series. There was such a good flow and rhythm to Covet. I didn't find in this book, I have listened to it more than once because my first impressions are not always enduring. This book just doesn't bring you into it. It is ok if you want to read all the books in a series or you follow this author but I can't recommend it as a stand alone story. Good narration.
Crave was awesome. I liked it better then Covet, which was excellent! Isaac was adorable, hard and totally alpha. Grier was the perfect match for him. Of course, Jim is really shaping into a super angel. I am eager for the next 5 souls.
