Publisher's Summary

Seven deadly sins. Seven souls that must be saved. One more no-holds-barred battle between Jim Heron, a fallen angel with a hardened heart, and a demon with everything to lose.

Isaac Rothe is a black-ops soldier with a dark past and a grim future. The target of an assassin, he finds himself behind bars, his fate in the hands of his gorgeous public defender, Grier Childe. His hot attraction to her is a totally wrong-place-wrong-time kind of thing - and that’s before Jim Heron tells him his soul is in danger. Caught up in a wicked game with the demon who shadows Jim, Isaac must decide whether the soldier in him can believe that true love is the ultimate weapon against evil....

I have most all of of J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood and all of her Fallen Angels in audio.

What about Eric G. Dove’s performance did you like?

His performance was good, very expressive.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I listen to them in my car mostly or cleaning house. I've got all the paperback books, too.

"too much narration of what characters are thinking"
What did you like best about Crave? What did you like least?

some interesting characters and story line..... but the tedious and repetitive narration about what is going on in the heads of the main characters made me want to scream.
More action was required by the story as a whole

Would you ever listen to anything by J. R. Ward again?

    possibly

Where does Crave rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

What did you like best about this story?

    everything

Have you listened to any of Eric G. Dove’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but his narration was great!

    Any additional comments?

Who really uses the word resplendent? This adjective is better suited for use in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

    "Crave I loved it!"
What did you love best about Crave?

I like that the people from the 1st in the series continue on to this book. So it is like the 1st in the series just continues on.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jim was of course my favorite character in the book, but lets not forget his side kicks!

What does Eric G. Dove bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He does a very good job of changing his voice so you know who is talking.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I had the time to sit for the book I would have listened from beginning to end in one sitting.

"predictable but in a good way"
    Any additional comments?

Ward writing style is predictable but in a good way. You know what you are getting when you read one of her books. There is lots of internal struggle and self-loathing with redemption at the end of the tunnel. Don???t get me wrong, this book is worth the read and I enjoyed it. The male characters are strong, protective, hard, and damaged and for the most part so are the female characters in their own way. I like that the men might be doing the whole cave man protective thing that most women outwardly shun but inwardly love but it is the women that end up doing just as much of the saving.

"A thrilling blend of Romance and Urban Fantasy"

The second in Ms. Ward's Fallen Angel series and it didn't fail to please.

Jim Heron, now a full angel after his death at the end of book one and his success in saving the first of the seven souls, turns his attention to Boston and the second soul that hangs in the balance.

Issac Roth was once a member of the special ops team that Jim worked with, and his death has been ordered by Mathias, the man in charge of the team. An order that has come about due to Issac trying to leave the fold. In his attempt to earn money and also stay under the radar, Issac has been working as a fighter in the underground rings.

But a raid and his subsequent arrest brings him into contact with attorney Grier Childe, who volunteers x amount of hours each month, pro-bono, as a public defender.

But Grier isn't alone as the beautiful, intelligent woman is often accompanied by someone only she can see - the ghost of her dead brother.

Jim doesn't know, for certain, which soul he's meant to save, but one thing is certain. He's determined not to let Mathias kill Issac, or anyone else caught up in this situation. And if that wasn't difficult enough, Devina is still around, ready to throw a spanner in the works the first chance she gets.

A sensual, well written book that mixes urban fantasy, erotic romance, and paranormal romance.

As a narrator, Mr. Dove works very well for this book, and I look forward to listening to the third in the series.
