Just finished the second in this series

I have had no experience with J.R.Ward prior to this series. The first book "Covet" I really enjoyed, and you could see the start of characters building in a series. This second book took the character building even further. I can't wait for the next book to come out Jim Heron, is a wonderful dark hero, suffering for the souls he tries to protect. The demons are evil, and there are some descriptive torture segments that may turn some readers off. However when dealing with ultimate "Evil" there are things that need to be shown to express the depths of this fight between the good and evil. Just think of the concentration camps in WWII and the experiments by doctor Mangler.

I love this series

Wow what a compelling author, I love the "Brotherhood" and this series is spell binding. I really like how this series is set in Cauldwell like it is happening at the same time as the other series. When will the next one be out, OMG to think I have to wait a year : ( I have read Covet and then again on audio, this one will definitely be a more than one time. Like watching a movie and picking up so much more the second or third time. Worth the credit or the money!!! I enjoy Herron's 2 buddies as much, and Devina the devil,.....WOW Just WOW Please KEEP the same narrator thru the series as he is just super. We avid audio-ers I suspect don't like our narrators changed in a series. This man is super reading this series. Yep Im blabbering, but this book is so intense I don't want to give anything away. If you liked the first installment, you will not be disappointed. So intense, great story line, small to medium amt of sex, so if you have those sensibilities your safe (sort of) with this book until Jim is taken to Devina's place.....creepy, very dark fantasy, and just disturbing, but Hell is not to be pretty!

I might just be suffering from one of the seven deadly sins - Greed. I cannot stop reading these books and I want them to come out sooner!!

I'm really enjoying them. It's nice to have a male-narrated supernatural story. Also, J.R.'s writing style is very natural. I can picture people having these conversations (if the paranormal really existed). Plus, the sense of humor of the characters has me laughing out loud. I wish I was as witty as them!

This one is a bit more graphic than the first, so beware if you can't handle graphic violence.

Exciting!!!

I was wary about liking this story because I loved the Brotherhood books so much. I thought no way could JD Robb have a second series that is just as good. Well she does, and I am excited to read the next in the series!!

This book captured my attention from the very first chapter, and held it thoughout. There were twists and turns everywhere. This is how a book should be.

Loved this! I also loved the way she discretely blends this world in with her other series (Blackdagger Brotherhood Series) which I totally recommend you get your hands on. The narrator did an amazing job and can’t help but fall in love with the male characters. Totally enjoyed and cannot wait for her next instalment.

What a great series. Can’t wait for another. Eric Dove is a great narrator and does such a good job on the various voices.

I do love a book with a man who has been a black-ops soldier because you KNOW it’s going to be hella good. He is like a ghost I love that he can be there and then poof up in smoke!

The battle between good and evil is in full swing, Jim, Eddy, and Adrian are determined to win but it’s not as easy as it seems.

I loved Grier, and her whole character, she had such a strong will and great head on her shoulders. Her idea’s and determination really make her relationship with Isaac believable.
Davina is one nasty B----------- But I love her character too because is she wasn’t the way she is then the books wouldn’t work.
The ENDING…….

I am really starting to warm up to the narration.

Another great one!!!

I love JR Ward and this series did not let me down. I love the storyline and if your a fan I think you'll like these too.
