Publisher's summary

Seven deadly sins. Seven souls that must be saved. One more no-holds-barred battle between Jim Heron, a fallen angel with a hardened heart, and a demon with everything to lose.

Isaac Rothe is a black-ops soldier with a dark past and a grim future. The target of an assassin, he finds himself behind bars, his fate in the hands of his gorgeous public defender, Grier Childe. His hot attraction to her is a totally wrong-place-wrong-time kind of thing - and that’s before Jim Heron tells him his soul is in danger. Caught up in a wicked game with the demon who shadows Jim, Isaac must decide whether the soldier in him can believe that true love is the ultimate weapon against evil....

If you don't listen, you'll miss a great experienc

This book is hard to listen to -- I cried at least three different times. I could listen to Eric Dove talk like Isaac all day long.

Great Series

The Ward is the best- in my opinion no one comes close in this genre. Not as amazing as her Black Dagger Brotherhood series, but still damn good. You can trust anything by this author.

I can't wait to purchase the next book!

It has just enough of a love story and macho men that keeps you intrigued! absolutely love the Angels and how Jim couldn't see their shadows. Brilliant performance by Eric Dove!

liked everything, but the FL and ML

title says it all. I liked everything about this book EXCEPT the male and female leads. I found them to be boring and one-dimensional - no (or minimal) growth for our leads. I found myself infinitely more interested in the world building/other characters (eg, Jim, his angel buddies, Devina, FL's dad and brother, even ML's land lady and the cops at the jail).

An echo of Sandra's Review

BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) - The Fallen Angel series is shaping up to a be a slightly more "manly" version of the Black Dagger Brotherhood (BDB) series. Definitely worth 13 hours of your life, but you might want to get a refresher of what happened in Covet becuase this one jumps right in where Covet left off and there aren't a lot of reminders of what happened in the first book.

PLOT: This listen is a little shorter than the first book and significantly shorter than the last couple of BDB books. This series is written in a similar fashion to the BDB series (i.e. One Good Guy vs. One Bad Guy as the central theme) but might be more tailored to the male audience. While I very much enjoyed all of the BDB books I find myself wanting the war between the Brothers and Lessoning Society to play a larger role and not focus so much on the love story. The first book (Covet) did not have a love theme while this book tries to float one in there. Definitely not of the BDB quality but the romance scenes are there along with some fighting and torture.

NARRATOR: I'm definately a fan of Mr. Dove. I think he does a very good job in varying his pitches and tones for all of his characters and have no issues with his reading style. Personally I am glad they did not choose Jim Frangione (sp? the BDB narrator) as it's nice to associate one voice with one set of characters.

Soldier w/Wings

This is a really good series from Ward, it does not need to be compared to her BDB series because it really is different. Jim is our star here and he has his own mission. Him, Ad and Eddy have problems of their own. The biggest one is that devil in a blue dress Delvina. She just doesn't play by the rules, hench her being the evil in this series. But make a note she actually has a weakness or two and I believe one of them is Jim. For the BDB lovers please keep in mind with these stories taking place around the same city our characters have and will continue to stumble across each other once or twice.

This book is very military intelligence based so it should appeal to more people and maybe men who aren't looking for so much of a love story. Lets remember the title is Fallen Angels so these guys are rough walkin and tough talkin no matter who's soul they are trying to save. There are other books in the series where love helps concur all.

Eric Dove the narrators does a very good job and has a real strong and calming voice for Jim too.

awesome

Would you consider the audio edition of Crave to be better than the print version?

I really don't have a preference between Audio or print. It just benefits me while I'm working.

What other book might you compare Crave to and why?

The whole series..wished there were more.

Have you listened to any of Eric G. Dove’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, I was just pulled into the story.

great story filled with JR Ward goodness

Was pulled in to the story right away. The narrator was great. Had plenty of sex, violence, and happy endings!
