What would you give up for everything? Tristan Stone was powerful, commanding, and sex incarnate. And he wore it all so well. From the moment his mesmerizing gaze met mine, I had no choice but surrender to everything he was. His power. His decadence. His passion. He was all I never knew I needed. He wanted to possess me, and I wanted to be his everything. All I had to do was accept what he offered. But everything has a price. The world he gave me fulfilled my wildest dreams, but would that be enough when the past crashed into the present?

"K.M. Scott gives you contemporary romance at its finest." (Let's Get Romantical)
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
Boy..this was a really good story... I like Tristan Stone so much... He seem so mysterious...but I think he really love Ninna... he seem to fall faster than Ninna did... The whole hiding away in the country, and the contract that Ninna didn't eve read.... really held my interest... but the end... OMG! What is going to happen next... Book 2 will be on my instant download list... Great smexy time too...
Narration was done pretty well.. This is not dual narration...YES! Fox doesn't come in until the eppy... which I loved when books do it this way...b/c I hate dual narration...
Nice sale, credit.... maybe not a buy... It's over 10 bucks!
Lover of all books, especially Romance!
If you don't like cliffhangers stop reading now and don't buy this book. If you don't mind cliffhangers then buy and enjoy. It is quick paced with a solid listen. Yes it concerns a millionaire, yes it concerns a financially struggling younger girl.......twist, turns, plot thickens, its good but leaves ya hanging.......one of the worst cliffhangers I have read in a while.......
Say something about yourself!
I think I have learned my lessons on trilogies. I am now going to listen to the whole thing before I write the review of book 1, hence my weird rating.
This book was great, it had twists, it was hot, it was believable...and then the massive cliffhanger and poof contrived drama that is so ridiculous I can't even do it justice.
In book one they meet they fall, they become each others world then Tristan drops a metaphoric bomb and Nina has to leave...then she gets into a crash and it wipes away her memory...how freaking convenient! Then they work through some things and poof even with the previous information she starts hunting him...and that's where book 2 leaves us...which is beyond any soap opera plot.
These books went from plausible to totally ridiculous, I will not be getting the third, wished I never got the first!
The contract by which Tristan seeks to bind Nina seems lame; a shade of that which is the centrepiece of that other book, you know the one. More surprisingly, she falls for it. Fortunately the plot redeems itself as it develops into an interesting and deeper story as the characters develop. You need to wait for the next volume to find out the full story.
Good listen and entertaining enough, maybe there is just too many of the latest romance novels I have listened to that fell into the same story line basis regardless the reasons the successful rich business man falling unexpectedly for the woman that isn't one in his elite circle.
Really Good Story
Tristan was so mysterious...and how he seem to really love Ninna .Right from the start it captured me with every word as I tried to piece together the motives, the secrets and the twists in there relationship.
I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
Nina was working as a waitress at an art show when she saw Tristan, a tall, dark and handsome billionaire but he was surrounded by beautiful women and could have his pick however when their eyes met she fell deeply madly in lust/love and so starts their fragile relationship but as time went on it grew into much much more.
Right from the start this listen captured me and kept me riveted on every word as I tried to piece together the motives, the secrets and the twists and turns in Nina and Tristan's blossoming relationship. And the flawed helpless character of Tristan, whose motives and behaviour were sometimes strange, makes you melt because he only ever wanted to make Nina happy. However, as with most trilogies, there's always the threat of 'something sinister' that is going to burst the happiness bubble and when this mystery spectacularly bursts their bubble with the revelation of lies and a terrible dark secret the fall-out is catastrophic with heartbreaking consequences which leaves an OMG of a cliffhanger.
Worth a credit? This is pure fiction, there's parts in it that have you saying "as if" and "what?" and sometimes I felt like screaming at Tristan and Nina but did that detract from my enjoyment of the book? oh no, no, no, not at all as I loved the romance, the good times, the sexy times and the intense desperation they felt for each other. So YES creditworthy and I've preordered book 2 which comes out today YIPPEE so I know what I'll be listening to for the rest of the day.
I have listened to other audio books (Sons of Navarus) by Ms. Scott and she is one of my favorite authors. Her ability to bring "realism" into the plot and keep the focus on the main characters is great. She doesn't do all of her character building of the H & H in the beginning of the book but sprinkles it throughout the story to keep listeners, at least this one, intrigued and wanting to find out more.
Not only is she a very talented author but V. Meunch & C. Fox's performances were amazing. I loved that Ms. Meunch performed the female voices and Mr. Fox performed the male voices and there was no female trying to do male voices and vice versa. It sounded more real and believable. I wish that all audio narrators/performers would do the same.
This book 1 made me want to move on to the next, book 2 and I'm glad I downloaded all three books so that I could listen to them simultaneously.
Keep up the good work; can't wait for what's coming next.
yes i loved listening i can do anything and listen especially driving
it's a trilogy love story i have purchased the other 2 book on Amazon i am half finish i have not read one yet with this type of twist must read
i love both of the performers
need to get the last 2 on Audible
I love all genres of books. However, when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
I really teetered between 3 and 4 stars on this one... The female, Nina in the story came across to me so annoyingly whinny, weak and completely unbecoming. The male character, Tristan was mysterious and alpha but he seemed a little too aloof for me and in the beginning ran hot and cold from one sentence to the next. My other complaint would be that in the beginning the story progressed so rapidly that I couldn't wrap my mind around it. Literally he said a handful of words to her and the next thing you know she's straddling him in his living room and they are having sex. Huh?!? Then the next day he moves all her stuff into his home. I am not a fan of the C word being used in sex talk and there was a fair bit of that. Also the sex scenes needed work as they seemed very flat and lacked details to me. Now your probably wondering why I still gave it 4 stars but it really started to get good right towards the end. Nina started to take the whine down a few notches and Tristan stopped acting like he has some type of split personality disorder. The suspense made me start to want and turn the page a little faster to discover what happens. The ending wasn't a huge cliffhanger but it does leave you wanting to find out how everything is going to come together in the end. So I suppose in some ways it redeemed itself but if you could give 1/2 stars I'd probably rate it at 3 1/2 to be fair. I will still read the next one in hopes that the beginning won't turn me off so much.
Veronica Meunch and Christian Fox did a good job with the narration of the story.
Nothing new to add, no excellent writing, no hot erotica, no interesting characters, no plot to invest in.
Waste of a credit.
