Publisher's summary

There were still lessons to learn and consequences for the truth!

When Claire Nichols met Anthony Rawlings, she didn’t know they had a past, or that he had plans for her future. Over time, the role of teacher changed - games became reality - and domination turned to desire. Despite an insurmountable history, Claire and Tony found their way back to each other. Just when they seemed to have it all - love, respect, and the promise of a family - the game master exposed the truth.

Claire’s world once again spun out of control. Unwilling to allow her child to suffer the consequences of an old vendetta, Claire fled....

At one time, Claire was held captive in an opulent mansion - then her incarceration was a cell inside a state penitentiary. Was her new prison - a tropical island - truly less lonely? Perhaps that was the game master’s plan all along? Who will save Claire from her oldest nightmare and her newest reality? Will it be Tony? Can he forgive her for leaving him - again? Harry? Will he utilize previously unknown connections to save the woman who infiltrates his thoughts? Maybe Phil? Will his devotion in keeping Claire and her child safe be rewarded?

As the cards are played, sins of the past, innocent victims, and truths are revealed. With compartmentalization no longer an option, is the reality too much? Could there be an even worse isolation? With the game master dealing from a stacked deck, can this new high-stakes game possibly be won? When it's all over and their cards are on the table, some will discover their bets were too high - they have nothing left to lose - all will learn the crucial lesson - the most important rule - there are consequences for the truth! Consequences Keep Getting Better

+ Convicted: Consequences, Book 3

Claire Nichols meets a charming man while bartending. Against all of her rules, she takes him up on his offer for dinner. She awakes to Hell… Kidnapped, assaulted and violated in every way by a cold man. He, Anthony Rawlings, a successful, very wealthy man has holdings all over the world but now his focus is on Claire. To survive, Claire learns that she must follow his rules. Each decision has a consequence, it can be good or it can be very, very bad.

I urge you to read the publisher's summary, on each book, for more details, as I'm afraid adding to it may it inadvertently reveal spoilers.

This psychological thriller has been sitting in my library for a few years, I purchased it when it was on sale and tried to pick up the rest of the series under the same circumstances (I ended up with 3 of the 8 books available at this time – 2017.) Finally, I decided to listen to Book 1 to see if it would draw me in. It DID and I was hooked. I devoured the whole series back to back – it took the better part of my Christmas holiday and then some. These are long books and I don't feel that a moment was wasted.

Narrator Romy Nordlinger is excellent. Consequences: Consequences, Books 1, 2, 3 and 5 are told from Claire's point of view (POV) and Nordlinger delivers. 5 stars

Credit worthy? YES!

Notations: some strong language, violence and (not graphic) allusions of sexual situations

Very addictive series

Would you consider the audio edition of Convicted to be better than the print version?

I read the audio and listened to it and I was much more intralled with the book being read to me. Maybe it was the different voices for the characters but it made it come alive.

Have you listened to any of Romy Nordlinger’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She always makes you want more.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

These characters will make you laugh and CTY. You want to hate bit you find yourself living. Your heart if pulled in may directions and you find yourself forgiving what seems unforgivable.

A long awaited Culmination of the many facets of !

this was such a heartwrenching Rollercoaster. ...
My favorite part was Claire and Tonys togetherness in their paradise!! However, the best part was both of them being released to be a couple and then finally have their daughter!!!!

Much Better Than Truth!!

This whole series was an emotional ride.. Comparing this to the first 2 books, this one was much better.. Too many questions get answered here and the main thing that i took from this whole series is "Miscommunication " Tony thinks Claire did this, and Claire thought Tony did that... I guess if they talked rather than assume , then you could have cut away half of this book.

You will reach a "What the ****" moment near the end of this book, and honestly if I had a physical copy, i might have thrown the book few times... But then if i did that I wouldn't have reached a "Ahhh!! Finally!!!" moment.

You wouldn't get this book unless you already red the first 2.. then i advice you to get this one, so you could reach a happy ending and understand what is going on.

Confusing at First but Eventually Gets Better

Would you consider the audio edition of Convicted to be better than the print version?

In this instance, I think the print version would have been easier to follow. It was quite confusing with the constant flashes of present, past, and who knows!

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Eliminate a lot of unnecessary plot.

Any additional comments?

Overall, it was an okay book but I like the previous two books much better. Be aware, the end is a WTF moment.

Captivating and Suspenseful

What did you love best about Convicted?

I loved the story line which kept me interested from beginning to end. The characters were so well written that I felt I knew them personally. The three books kept me so captivated that I couldn't stop listening.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the story line. It was interesting from the beginning and didn't allow me to lose interest.

What does Romy Nordlinger bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I felt that Romy did a good job narrating. The only thing that distracted me was when she was forgetting which character's line she was reading and used the wrong voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were so many moving moments in this trilogy that I can't choose just one.

Any additional comments?

I would definately listen to more books from this author. She writes in a way that makes you feel as if you are part of the story. She keeps the story interesting, not allowing you to lose interest.

3rd book in a series

Good conclusion to a series. Kept you wondering what the heck happened. I liked it. It wasn't incredibly wonderful but it wasn't horrible. If you're read the first 2 book its a good conclution.
