Publisher's summary

What if a "Once in a Lifetime" could happen twice? Suffering from a past full of tragedy, Dahlia London's soul has been left completely shattered. Happily ever after is a far cry from reality in her world. But when she is reconnected with her past, the bonds that form are irrefutable. When River Wilde, lead singer of The Wilde Ones, comes back into Dahlia's life, the intensity that fires their relationship combined with underlying feelings that have never died lead her to believe she has met her soul mate. Struggling with confusion as old connections fade and new ones begin, Dahlia's grief begins to lift - but guilt remains. River wants to be the one to mend all that is torn within her. But with a past that is never really gone, can their future survive?

Oh.My.God....This book was so good! Sinfully good!

Kim Karr has created a deliciously juicy book that will leave you saying Oh. My. God. Please I need more!!! There are lots of little twists & turns that happen throughout this book. It’s one of those storys that you have to pay attention to while listening. It’s got juicy romance, extreme hotness, love, heart ache. suspense, and even some mystery. This is an incredibly addicting story. This is another one of those books that's almost impossible to review without giving away important events that take place. I will try my best not to spoil anything for anyone. I will say, I pretty much figured out the plot line 30% in. I don’t know why but my intuition just told me there were a several things that didn’t add up which made me start to suspect that there was more going on. Regardless of all the plot twists & turns, I was still completely pulled in and captivated. In the beginning, we learn that Dahlia has had tragedy marked her path in life from a very young age, but she’s always had her best friend Ben by her side. After the death of her parents, he was the only family she could come to rely on. As time progressed, their friendship grew into love and their plans for a perfect happily ever after. Except for the one night during a college fraternity party, Dahlia leaves Ben behind to hit the local bar with her best friend. That night she crosses paths with River and an undeniable chemistry explodes between them making them well aware of the attraction that can’t be denied. When Dahlia agrees to meet River after his performance, she decides that the best thing is for her to leave the scene before she makes a mistake that will cost her more than she’s willing to sacrifice. (So, I can only guess that by now your probably thinking this book just sounds like your typical new adult romance BUT its so much more. In time, little random things start to have more significance than you originally think.) The story fast forwards about five years and Dahlia's life is hit by tragedy once again. When she finally begins to pick herself back up and put her life back together, her first job assignment happens to bring her face to face with River Wilde once more. And even though years have pasted since that one night, the connection is still strong, palpable and magnetic.... like they were soul mates. This book was a love story told so beautifully that it completely entrances you. I absolutely loved the chemistry between River and Dahlia.Their shared moments, conversations, and off the charts chemistry made their attraction for one another feel very real. The sex scenes were OFF THE CHARTS sinfully sexy. River is SO in love with Dahlia it melts your heart. River is sweet, sensitive and just gets Dahlia. He’s very in-tune to her needs, as she is to him. It’s kind of a insta-love story but with layer after layer of dimensions. It was captivating to see into both of their minds and hearts. The narrative was perfect for this book. Also, I adored the band and lyric references, both real and fictional, were one of my very favorite parts of the story. I loved the old concert t-shirts which were a huge part of Dahlia's wardrobe. I found myself looking forward to which one she would be wearing next! On a side note, I did wish that aspects of River's musical career were explored more in the story rather than used as a backdrop.
This was by far one of the best "cliffhanger" endings I have heard in a very long time. When this book finished demanding to know more. I know everyone has a different opinion on these type of endings but I absolutely loved it and now cannot wait until the second book, TORN comes out. I know it will definitely be worth the wait.

I Loved it!!!

Dahlia had two great loves of her life. Ben, her first love, the man she grew up with and who helped her through tragedy. River, the man she had an instant connection with. It was “love at first sight” for both of them. Due to another tragedy in her life she has crossed paths again with River. Their connection is still strong and undeniable.

I loved both Ben and River in this book and I felt Dahlia was one very lucky girl to have had two amazing love stories. Then wham – the ending came and it hit me like a ton of bricks. It’s a shocker of an ending with a HUGE cliffhanger. Despite my disdain for cliffhangers I still LOVED this book and can’t wait for the 2nd one to come out. It will be an instant download for me.

Definitely a credit worthy listen!

PHEW....... I'M EMOTIONALLY DRAINED

This well written passionate love story sucks you in from the start, then tosses you around with all the emotional devastation and turmoil then, in the end, it spurts you out feeling speechless and drained. As the highs and lows of Dahlia's love life slowly unfolds, you'll feel her heartbreak at the pain of loss, sympathize at the slow healing only time can give her, then finally rejoice with her at her chance of happiness again.

It's tender, romantic, sweet, sexy, dramatic, sad but also there's suspense, mystery, passion, twists, lots of sex, and lies.

I'm not going to say more as I might give something away but what I will say is that this was a worthy 4 star listen until the Epilogue which will BLOW YOUR MIND and it'll leave you saying OMG WHAT THE ?!?!

If you're not a fan of a cliffhanger ending then perhaps wait until book 2 comes out and I believe this is the start of a 6 book series.

Worth a credit? This listen will linger in your thoughts and the characters will haunt your mind long after you finish it and, like me, you will be DEPERATE for book 2 and eagerly await the rest... so YES, it is totally credit worthy.

A Mixed Bag...

In the beginning of this book I thought this was going to be way to depressing for me. This story contains a lot of different emotions. Next it was a really long seduction. But after that it was a lot of sex. Not too graphic. The romance is based on the premise there is a "Your Once in a Lifetime." The people are interesting. But the dialog screams YA. I really like intelligent dialog even in a romance novel. I do not care for any story that is single pointed topic, this was ALL about the Him and Her. I got a little bored. The last chapters became more interesting, the ending is definitely a cliffhanger.

Don't Expect to Sleep Until You Are Done

I started this one yesterday afternoon and was up all night listening to it. I just could not stop. It is mostly a romance between Dahlia and River and her learning to love again after loss. I usually like my romances light but Kim Karr did a good job with the moving the story along and engaging me with Dahlia's connection to River. There is some mystery to the story as well as you wait for some early story line to play out, but then you get to the end and realize there is a BOOK 2!! I thought this was a stand alone and book 2 would be the story of one of the River's siblings, now I have to decide whether to read the kindle version or wait for the audio book to come out next week.

Either way this one is a great listen.

That.....was.....AWESOME!!!!!

This book is sooooo good. Glad I took a chance because I couldn't put it down. It doesn't set up as a mystery at first but you know things don't add up so you feel like you are kind of sitting on the edge waiting for the ball to drop but at the same time you are so wrapped up in the romance and its soooo good. River Wilde is YUMMY!!!! Veronica Meunch reads the first half and Christian Fox reads the second half and they both are amazing. FYI-cliffhanger which is a total drag!! I really hope the second book is available soon and the same narrators read!!!

OMG....THIS BOOK IS OUTSTANDING..

What did you love best about Connected?

EVERYTHING... WELL MAYBE A LITTLE SLOW IN THE BEGINNING, BUT GET READY TO OPEN YOUR HEART FOR THIS ONE..

What was one of the most memorable moments of Connected?

Seeing River for the second time, it was cute

Which scene was your favorite?

I don't like to give away spoilers.. but I love this book so, I listened to it twice as not to miss a thing..Veronica Meunch while reading kinda mess up, but you can get past that for this one..

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

yes, when he said he had met her before.. Bingo... we are on roll now..

Any additional comments?

This book moved me in more ways than I can write about.. I was scared, mad, in love, and turned on.. And I am not into bikers or rock bands.. but this book had music I knew of and loved it. and the way it ends... let me say, I will be looking into that. I loved this couple together, this book was so rightly named. It's good, you can't really talk about it much without spoiling,, but this is a hit.. Goodness gracious, make a movie from this one.. what a winner... He (River) loves her (Dahlia) so much, and what she went through, OMG, what a strong women.. I listened and then ran it back to hear it again, cause it gripped me in a way not many books do. For me this was a slow roll book. Sit and gather and enjoy but, then wait something is on the way... This book me on several emotions all of which I embraced. I wanted to, I had to I was with them. For me the writing was outstanding. Here is why the love that is genuine. Anyway.. there is no reason, what so ever why I should say don't listen to this. I mean it has it all. Yes, even the Hot love scenes that I look for they were cleanly written. but Hot nonetheless.. This writer is so good, you feel like you are in the room with these people.. I adored it. And it takes a lot for me to say that.. I wanted to pick up Dahlia and just hold her.. and River,, good thing he is not real.. I would be looking to see him play...And I don't do that.. Let me say this... when you listen pay close attention at first, player even closer attention midway, cause l caught a lot the second time around.. You have give away's in here. But we shall see if I am right with the second book...She has someone that shows her what and who she really is.. But listen to the entire book.. I for one..Can't wait until it comes around with the second one.. Needless to say, I loved this. I hope I don't have a long wait, but here recently, I have to really search to find a good book. So glad I went to someone who I knew would be straight forward and listened to her.. She told me.. that this is one that some will either hate or love..and she loved it so I knew I would.. Happy Listening..

Horrible narration!

Would you be willing to try another one of Veronica Meunch and Christian Fox ’s performances?

NO! The narration was so bad I could barely finish this. I bought the e-book version of the second book of this series to find out what happens. I couldn't stand to hear another book by these two narrators.

Did Connected inspire you to do anything?

Yes, not ever listen to these narrators again.

Any additional comments?

The story was ok, not great but worth reading if you have nothing else in line. I wouldn't buy this in audio though.

TOP NOTCH!..Once in a Lifetime Start! CLIFFHANGER!

Download Approved. Connected is emotionally engaging on all fronts. It’s a soul mate meeting, that doesn’t get a chance for connection until well after the first encounter. What some might call a slow start, I call some impressive attention paid to character development. By the end of the book there is a firm foundation in place for this being to a favorite series. This first book covers a ton of history, which spans a rather large chunk of time. Be warned, you don’t get to experience the romance until after the tragedy, and you should definately expect to be left hanging. Though you are not thrown head first into the mystery, you feel it as an undercurrent of what is to come. All of the supporting characters come alive throughout the telling… they are all tangled up (just the way I like it!). You get to enjoy multiple POVs, this aspect is brought out beautifully in the audio production using a narrator change about three fourths of the way through. Veronica Meunch and Christian Fox both put on an excellent performance. Kim Karr’s blog indicates a six book series for connections. Though I was able to review the teasers for Torn, I wasn’t able to locate a release date to post in this review. I find I’m an instant fan. I’m giddy with the desire to know the rest of the story. If the teasers are any indication, Torn going to deliver. I’m giving this one my highest marks.
