Publisher's Summary

Come Together is the third and final installment of The Cityscape Series after Come Undone and Come Alive.

With a single decision, Olivia Germaine's fantasy has become a reality. Now she is faced with two commitments: one she must make and one she must break. But in order to accept a love she never thought possible, Olivia will have to let go of the broken past that defines her - and of deeply-rooted fears that could ruin everything.

Everything is what David Dylan wants to give her, and it's what he wants in return. He must prove to Olivia that despite his playboy ways, he's worth leaving behind the stable future her husband can offer her. David is a man who always gets what he wants...but this time, he may be fighting for something unattainable.

Can Olivia escape the past that threatens to consume her? And can David break through to her before it does?

"cry cry cry all I can say whining woman"

I like the story line but the problem is that the woman was to whiny . I don't blame her for playing the field and finding her happiness because men do the same thing everyday to women. I just don't like how she went about it and she cried way too much and she was too secretive she should have just been honest and played it more cooler than she did she just whined and I hate whiny women who don't want to do anything about their situation because they're scared of what people might think . about her committing adultery and then leaving your husband. But all she needed to do was let her husband know that she was not happy and that she did not want children and that she did not feel at home with him. and once again I'll mention the whining I fast forwarded through most of the book because I couldn't stand the whining.

    "David the Dick"

In the first 2 books, I didn't particularly like either Olivia or David. In book 3, David the Dick showed his true colors.

In the first 4 hours, David slaps, bites, restrains, and bullies Olivia into an subtly abusive relationship complete with expensive gifts. David insists on controlling every part of her life, even when the stupid girl can go to the bathroom.

Olivia, desperate for affection and attention, is tricked into believing that violent, degrading sex is romantic and erotic. How stupid and pathetic! Truly strong and mature men don't get sexually excited by hurting their partners.

I gave up about half way through Coming Together, when I stopped hoping that either David or Olivia would develop into interesting people. The author is obviously very talented; if only she would write stronger female characters and less violent & dominating males.

    "Pure Romance!"

Narration - Andi Arndt - Fabulous

I really enjoyed this book but there were also parts that I disliked.
Finally, we get Liv and David together, but there is still an awful lot of waffling on Olivia's part.

Bill is a total Wanker in this one. He's obviously distraught at the loss of Liv to the point of lying to her to try to turn her against David. Then he's calling her names, man handling her, etc... So, I could understand that behavior, because he's obviously distraught, but what bothered me is that Liv was listening to him. Letting it poison her thoughts and causing her to waffle even more.

David is still a dream boat, but he really got a little over the top with his Mr. Bossy pants routine. He's still extremely romantic and I adore how much he loves Liv, but there's protective and possessive and there's just being a dick. He was almost in the dick camp in this book.

Finally, there was almost too much sex in this book for me. There's some really hot scenes in this book, some really romantic scenes, and then just some gratuitous scenes - because we just have to have some of that sex act in here. It didn't stop my listening, but I did tune out a bit on a few of them.

With that said, I still have to give a big thumbs up to this series. Overall, it's romantic and sexy and I'm feeling a big book hangover right now. I think I could just listen to a recording of Andi saying sweet nothing in David's voice. *sigh* Oh and Liv! For gods sake! Give that man a baby!

Too busy to read as much as I'd like, Audible is the perfect solution. I'm a romance reader mostly, but can stray into any story.

    "Amazing."

This was the perfect ending to this amazing series. Jessica Hawkins writing is inspired and mature. Although you would think that a series with a love triangle would grow boring, that is not the case with this series. I held onto every word and was unable to stop once I started. I'm so impressed and can't wait to read more books by this talented author.

Andi Arndt was the perfect choice for this series. She is able to control her tone and inflections so you never question who is speaking or what the intention is. 5 amazing stars all around.

    "Unpredictable Ending!"

This is the third book in the Cityscape Series. If you have not read both of the previous books, PLEASE STOP reading my review. My review MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS. This is your LAST WARNING, stop reading unless you want to be annoyed!

The cliffhanger ending in Come Alive (book number two in Cityscape Series) has been decided early on in Come Together. Now begins the hard work and consequences for Olivia and her decisions.

What is to become of her many relationships, with her husband, David, her friends and coworkers? Will they just judge Olivia's actions and if so, does Olivia care?

While the end was a different outcome than I expected, it (including the epilogue) wrap this series up in a neat little bow without any leaving the listener to wonder about any of the characters. I appreciate a definitive end to a trilogy, a book or a series.

I have read some reviewers who did not like the main characters, to them I ask, "Why did you even bother with book number three?" The characters evolve from innocence – for the lack of a better word – in book one. Their true colors are revealed by the end of book two.

Several complain about the relationships styles, calling the male partner (I'm not telling you who that is) as dominant and Olivia as submissive. There are other, rather obvious, facts that are brought to light rather early in the series. If you don't like the style of book, don't purchase it, the huge genre of erotic/contemporary romance runs the gamut.
The summary provides an accurate description of the book, read it.

The performance by Andi Ardnt is perfection. I do not know how she can make her voice soft, breathy and feminine and with the same set of pipes sound husky as needed for the male characters. She is a talented voice actor.

Jessica Hawkins grabbed my attention with book number one. As soon as I finished it I settled in for the long wait for book number two – which my friend pointed out about a week later was already out! I was fortunate to have some inside info relating to the date that the third book would drop and was very happy that from start to finish there was only about a one month waiting period. Perfect!

Notes: Mature themes and situations, strong language and definitely for the 18-year-old plus listener. Stars overall 5, performance 4, story 3.5–4.

*I did this receive this in exchange for my review but have no reservations about recommending it to those who like a spicy, edgy, romantic trilogy that is deeper than much of the flow that passes for romance these days.

Thanks for checking out my review~

This is a beautiful love story. Olivia lives a weak marriage to be with David, a man she's has been told and is convinced is a player, but still has deep feelings for. Olivia is very insecure and David has his work cut out for him trying to change her mind.
