Publisher's summary

Being confronted on the beach by a sexy stranger wasn't part of Natalie Conner's plans for a peaceful morning taking photos. And why on earth would he think she's taking pictures of him, anyway? Who is he? One thing’s for sure, he’s hot, and incredibly romantic, feeding Natalie’s wounded soul.

Luke Williams just wants the world to give him a break, so seeing yet another camera aimed at his face has him ready to pounce on the beauty behind the lens. When he finds out she has no idea who he is, he's intrigued and more than a little tempted by her. Natalie has a body made for sex, a sassy mouth and Luke can’t get enough of her, but he’s not ready to tell her who he really is.

Natalie is a no-nonsense girl who doesn’t do well with lies and secrets. What will happen to this new relationship when she discovers what Luke’s hiding?

My First Kristen Proby - Solid 3 Stars

Come Away With Me has been in my library for ages! I bought it almost a year ago [$4.95 sale] but something new or another obligation would always present itself before I could listen to it. Was it worth the wait? Yes.

While it was a little light on any sort of drama or plot, it is a lighthearted, sweet romance. It is about two people who meet unexpectedly, are instantly and strongly attracted to one another. The book is mostly about the discovery of one another (mostly physical descriptions.)

Natalie Connor is a photographer. Luke Williams is an actor and aspiring producer. Can they look beyond the outward persona and find out what really lies beneath?

Kristen Proby is popular in the contemporary romance scene. I think that there are at least nine books in this series! It was 'cookie cutter' and predictable with continuous sex. I don't think that I will jump right in and continue listening, but if they come up during a sale, I may pick them up.

NOTES: Strong language and constant descriptions of sex

Baby, you might like it, baby, maybe, baby

Sorry, just couldn't get into this one. Way too many thanks baby, what you need baby, love you baby, you get the drift. Plus the plot was a struggle to find - Hot actor meets clueless airhead photographer. You might like it, just not enough substance for me. Glad it was a freebie.

Good but some issues

I loved the story in general. One issue with the narrator is she gets loud at several points and it’s uncomfortable to hear. I don’t need my phone to sound like porn suddenly high volume. Then when she’s doing the angry guy parts she’s so angry that to me the guy comes off as being violent and abusive which I’m sorry I can’t support any woman who’s going to be a doormat for a guy that behaves that way. Assuming the author meant for the man to sound that volatile.

On a professional photographer level... she had no right to share boudoir photos from clients with a boyfriend without the clients permission. Most would not give said permission since they arnt porn stars. Next she should have the door to her photography studio locked during sessions. It’s highly unprofessional and inappropriate to allow strangers to burst in on clients in such vulnerable positions. The confidentiality of partaking in these kinds of photo sessions would be ruined. This would end a photographers career. All trust lost plus being utterly unprofessional.

I loved the story but seriously this isn’t the behavior of a professional. Plus her being a doormat to a aggressive self entitled man and disrespecting her work space. Ug so frustrating to hear.

Hot all the way.

After listening once, twice, or more…this is still such a hot romance. I love the whispers these lovers share. I do wish it were a dual perspective with duet narration, but it is very well done as is.

Come Away with Me

I only listened to this book once and it has been a long time now. I didn’t even review it and I normally review all my books.

I totally fell in love with Natalie and Will. Because it had been so long it felt like the first time with hints of things I remembered like the sister Samantha being a total B. But I get way she was protecting her brother.
Nat and her roommate were sweet and I remember that friendship and hope we see the roommate get her HEA.

This book wasn’t what I expected and yet I enjoyed it.
I wish we had gotten a little more of Will and his overall character his POV would have been really interesting I think.
I really enjoyed the narration.

Not Bad

What did you like best about Come Away with Me? What did you like least?

It was a good story but rather bland. Rich girl meet movie star...

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would throw in a little more adventure or suspense. It was mostly gussy romance.

Have you listened to any of Jennifer Mack’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The readers had a very nice voice in the woman's part but trying to read the man's part was a little lame.

Was Come Away with Me worth the listening time?

Yes, because I was in between books.

Any additional comments?

I might continue the series when I don't have another book waiting.

Romance not dram

I enjoyed listening to this book. it's nice to hear a love story without loads of drama. It was playful too. I enjoyed the book and the calming voice of the narrator.

Come Away With Me (Book #1)

One of my favorite books. Luke is a movie star/producer that does his best to stay out of the limelight as it makes him uncomfortable. Natalie is a photographer that has the misfortune of using her camera around Luke making him think shes paparazzi trying to get a picture of him. Once he realizes she hasn’t taken any pictures of him, he tries to take her for breakfast realizing she is one of the few people that doesn’t know who he is... love love love this book & series. This is my go to series when I just need to get away.

Not a fan of the narrators voice for this character

I have read this book before and I really liked it; so when I saw it in the Audible Romance, I was happy to have it reread to me. Unfortunately I wasn’t a fan of this narrator for this particular book/character. I feel bad to say that because it’s not that she has an awful voice - I can think of books where her voice would be great, however, for this book I feel her voice sounds too “young”. I think her voice would be good for a teenaged character.
