Publisher's summary

When police officer Seth Colter sees the delicate, shabbily dressed beauty in line at the soup kitchen where he's serving, he's gut shot over the idea of her being on the streets cold and alone. More baffling is the dark, possessive instinct that tells him she belongs to him. For Lily Weston, home is a secluded nook in a back alley - until Seth offers her a place to stay. She's wary of his offer, but even one night out of the cold is too much temptation to resist. Seth is convinced Lily is his. The problem is, when his brothers lay eyes on her, the same primitive instinct comes roaring to the surface. The Colters never imagined they'd follow the unconventional path of their fathers, but they can't ignore their mutual need to offer Lily their protection - and their love. But before Lily and the brothers can forge a future together, they must heal the deep wounds of her past.

4th listen!

This is my 4th "listen" to the Colters by a favorite author, Maya Banks. Enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Wonderful stories and characters!

Three Men and a Lady

Maya banks really has a knack for writing "homeless rags to romance" lit (e.g. MB's 'Fever'), and I am not complaining because this one was hot, and I enjoyed every humor- filled, semi-unbelievable but touching moment. The plot is a bit far fetched but you gotta love the idea of three super hotties cherishing the woman they love. I enjoyed the first Colters installment and although the premise of this one in the same as the first, there are differences that made this second story better in my opinion. It's also a quick listen so it gets to the heart of the matter immediately. I had this in my library for awhile, so I was pleasantly surprised once I finally listened. Definitely a recommended series!

Engaging Contemporary Romance

Maya Banks always satisfies. She delivers high heat with heart and Colters’ Lady offers both. In this 2d novel of the Colters Legacy series, the FL is undone by a tragedy. The grown-up sons of Holly, Adam, Ethan and Ryan discover the Colter gene has bred true in them. This is their story. **Spoiler coming!**

The FL’s tragedy involves SIDS.

COLTER'S LEGACY - THE NEXT GENERATION

If you liked book 1 then this is a must - as the next generation of Colters manage to find that one woman they're all prepared to share - a homeless mentally and emotionally scarred woman

As usual with MB's books it's a very very hot listen with characters from the previous story getting very much involved in the love lives of their sons and the woman they brought home. Then passions ignite as they each have to come to terms with their emotions at having to share one woman together with finding out her heartbreaking history as it is slowly revealed.

Worth a credit? Yes, if you're in the mood for a hot listen that's pure escapism, then you can't go wrong with MB books but if you're looking for a more realistic traditional romance listen perhaps you should look elsewhere.

Healing Love

I cried, laughed, and fell in love with the characters in this chapter of the Colters. The heartache and healing that Lily went through and then finding love. Definitely not for the faint of heart. A beautiful love story. The narrator is good, women voices seem shrill but still conveys the emotion throughout.

A new generation of Colters to drool over!

Colters' Lady follows the children of the characters in the first book of this series, 'Colters' Woman'. Seth encounters a homeless woman and is instantly smitten, as are his brothers when they meet her. Lily is living rough trying to forget a traumatic past, but also feels the instant connection.

This is another of Maya Banks more unrealistic romance novels where the men instantly know that they want to spend the rest of their lives with just one woman without knowing anything about her. Having said that, this story is pure enjoyable romance but it also tackles a very sad event that had me at times tearing up in both sympathy and empathy.

It isn't necessary to read Colter's Lady to know what is going on in this story; all characters are introduced and explained (although, that is a great book too and recommended). Worth a credit? Yes, but it is pretty cheap, so I'd say save your credit for more expensive offerings.

Just ok

Read the first book in the series and loved it. This one not so much. It was super slow to start and just too cheesy.

Enjoyed this one even more than the first one!

What did you love best about Colters' Lady?

The way grown, hard men go all soft and protective when their heart is lost. I thought this one was actually better than the first. I love that it carries on so everything is completely clear and well explained.

What other book might you compare Colters' Lady to and why?

None, cause I've never read anything like these books before.

Which scene was your favorite?

When the three of them realise that they have no choice! No spoilers, see?

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Almost.

Any additional comments?

I'm glad that I enjoyed this one more than the first and it makes me be a bit more OK with the things that disturb me a little.

Awesome!!!

Loved this book even more!! I can't believe I'm saying this, and I hope some of the more "conservative" readers understand once you get past the "three-people" relationship, the story is actually amazing!

Wonderful Colter Men

When I read the first book of this series, I was thinking to myself that this story is quite unbelievable. I am a huge fan of Maya Banks Highlanders’ series. Which is why I read book one and book two of the Colter Legacy. I still can’t grasp the idea of three men sharing the same woman, without jealousy or bickering and everything just comes together as normal. But then again, we read books (or listen to them) to get lost within a world not of our own. So keeping that in mind, I enjoyed listening to this book. I can do believe that the sex scenes in this book were a lot tender and emotional than the first book. The Colter men in book struggled with their emotions for Lilly more than the men in the first book. I was content with the ending of the book and the personal growth of Lilly by the end. I think she is a much stronger person at the end of the book.

Jeffery does a great job with the voices during this book. He knows when to add the right amount of emotion during the scene to pull you further into the book. I will be reading the next book, Colter’s Daughter.
