Love listening to audiobooks, and being swept away by a great story and narrator. It's my therapy, and I need it daily!
A great story full of suspense and hot romance.
Cara, a demon hunter, is desperate to save her little sister from death, so she summons a demon named Vanity who tells her of an ancient being locked deep in the earth who may be able to save her sister and gives Cara a magic compass to show her the way. On a race against time, Cara finds the ancient who has been cursed into his dragon form and cannot leave the underground dwelling due to his size. He gives Cara a way to save her sister but demands she stay with him. After some time with the dragon (and some hot dreams about the man), Cara decides she will find a way to break his curse before he realizes what she really is, and then will be obligated to kill her.
This was a great story with lots of steamy love scenes, suspense, a plot that had twist and turns!
Beth Stewart did a great job narrating this story!

Clutch of the Demon was a very enjoyable book, Cara was a well developed likable character. I think one of the reasons that this demon hunter story stands out from most others is that a dragon was introduced as a leading character which is not something you normally find. Scene descriptions and Aodhan, the dragon, as well as the man, were well written, I was able to visualize the scenes. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes stories about demon hunters.
Clutch of the Demon is quickly paced paranormal fantasy with a lot of steamy sex and an extremely promising story line. As the summary suggests it is a fun little twist on the typical Beauty and the Beast trope, where we get a dragon and a very feisty demon huntress.
When the story starts we are placed in the middle of Cara’s quest to find a way to save her sister, and we get to see right away that she’s a woman with a lot of determination and resources. Cara is a demon hunter with lots of tricks up her sleeves and a fiercely independent streak that matches up nicely with Aodhan’s. They butt heads a lot in this because of how strong they are on their own, and they have to work to figure out a dynamic that works for both of them and I really appreciated the time the author took to explore that. There are also plenty of steamy scenes that start towards the middle of the book that helped balance out and progress the storyline, giving us time to get to know about Aodhan’s past, and how demons can turn basic desires into something all consuming. Of course it’s not all about Cara and her relationship with Aodhan, in fact there is a rather rich story to be had surrounding Cara’s parentage and the demons who are plaguing humanity. I enjoyed the time spent building up Cara’s secret and was really curious about who the other Ancients are and what role they my play in future events.
The audio version of this book is really fantastic. Beth Stewart really brought out the personality in each character and kept the pace going even through some of the slower spots.
I’m glad I took the chance on this one. I haven’t read a paranormal romance in a while and I really missed how fun they can be. If you love reading steamy paranormal books with kick butt females then this is worth checking out for sure.

SUPER AWESOME STORY!! I CAN NOT WAIT FOR BOOK 2!!
Kara is different than other girls...a demon hunter with a twist...when her baby sister is dying she goes to extreme measures to save her...sacrificing herself for her sister...well she ends up finding more than she bargained for...A really cute twist on Beauty and the Beast...and I loved it!
The story kept me coming back for more with this book. As always I want there to be more, but i get that all books have to end. I will definitely look for more by this author!
This is a complex story of many layers with demons, action, adventure and romance (sort of). It is interesting enough but I felt it could have been a little bit better. Many parts were good, but then there were other parts that were a little slow. It was so complex that I found I was getting confused in some parts. All in all it's still a good book, just a little busy. If you are a BIG time paranormal reader, I feel you will really enjoy this.
*** I received this audiobook of Clutch of the Demon by A P Jenson as a gift in exchange for a honest and unbiased review of my thoughts on it. ***
Demons, Dragons and hot love scenes, what else could you want in a new series? The story was steady with just enough sex to make it even more interesting. The narrator did an excellent job with the voices. I look forward to the next book.

Cara is a demon hunter in search of a way out of a Demon named Lukes clutch. There is a hitch,as usual.Cara finds a dragon she needs help from.As it turns out she can also help him. It's a demonic love hate story. It's good, not great.Beth Stewart is a good narrator.

A.P. Jensen had already impressed me with her "Unmemorables" series, so I was eager to check out more of her work. This is a Beauty and the Beast retelling with a paranormal twist, including a demon hunter! How awesome is that idea? The demon side of the plot was perfectly creepy, and exciting. We are given clues that there is more to the story, and although I guessed this twist it was still great. I'm not totally sold on Aiden yet, but the romance was still ok. The sex scenes however are done very well, with the perfect amount of heat. Be aware, there are plenty of these scenes if that is not your thing. Beth Stewart is the narrator of the audiobook. She does a nice job with the voices, and it is easy to follow who is speaking. There is supposed to be another book released after this one, and I will definitely continue on with that one. I hope to check out "Birthright" next, which is another book from this rising author!
