Critic reviews

"If you're looking for some sexy summer reads, you'll want to check out the new book series, Krinar Chronicles. Author Anna Zaires brings you a kind of 50 Shades of Grey meets Star Trek tale . . ." ( Marie Claire)
"For diehard fans of the paranormal romance genre, author Anna Zaires's risqué new book could be your next guilty pleasure. Zaires's most recent read, Close Liaisons, combines a love story with science fiction in the tale of Mia, an unassuming college student whose life gets suddenly entangled in a dangerous, otherworldly affair." ( Woman's Day)

My kind of flavor!!

Ok, let me start by saying the reason I absolutely love this book and the previous book is the fantasy aspect. The alien vampire technology is a dream come true. Now if you don't enjoy the fanciful stuff your not going to be happy with this book. I love the fanciful world this book took me to. It was a very advanced world that I enjoyed due to the great imagination of AZ. I think that AZ is a extremely talented author and I do like her style. Also the sexual content is intense. That's always a plus.

Now I must address the narration. It's just BAD. You cannot tell the male voice from the female .All the characters blend together. This is a very good book and it would be so much better with a good narrator. Please change narration for the next book!!

This is not a stand alone book. Get book 1 before this one. If your a ScFy fan and you like allot of romance thrown in with it, then this series is for you. There are narration issues but maybe Book 3 will be better. I'm sure you can tell from my comments it's a YES!! This book is worth that credit.

WELL I AM TRULY OBSESSED WITH THIS AWESOME SERIES

It's all been said before by my fellow Reviewers, so all I can add is the author's well described, very imaginative, mesmerising world has captured my heart, my imagination, my thoughts and my life and I don't think I'll get them back until the very end of book 3... which I'm eagerly about to listen to now.

Worth a credit? Well that's a daa HELL YEAH!! The only question left now is how will Korum and Mia finally get their HEA ending.

Narration killed it!

I am so glad I have this in book format...b/c the narration totally killed it. I thought book 1 narration was bad... NO WAY...this was just horrible in the narration department. The last book you can at least tell the diff between female and male voices a bit...This one... NOT AT ALL..

Kitty Hendrix really did should like Clarrissa Knightly... but it just can't be because Knightly is great and Hendrix bombed it... If Hendrix is another name for Knightly then I am really upset in her new narration... b/c this was just horrible...

The Krinar Chronicles are great books... if narrated properly, these books would be an instant downland... I am not a Alien romance fan, but I do like the Krinar Chronicles...and that is saying a lot...

Not a recommendation..just get the book and read yourself.. Narration will piss you off!

Riviting storyline! Sexy as hell!

See my full review under the first book in the series: Close Liaisons: The Krinar Chronicles, Volume 1. This is my favorite author of all time! Her story telling never disappoints! You cannot stop with just the first book. I am so anticipating her new stuff that's to come out soon! I cannot give this series a high enough recommendation!

Just okay

Once again, Amazon reviews threw me off. It might be that some books come across better when they are read and not listened to. That might certainly be the case here b/c the narrator's voice didn't match what I would expect the voice of a young, undergrad student to be. The narrator, who is not bad at all, just sounded much too mature. Couple that with a female lead character who says she wants to make her own choices but then asks her boyfriend's permission to do everything, including going to a birthday party and taking an internship opportunity, and you have a bad setup. So the heroine didn't work for me either. She said one thing but did another. Also, their love match wasn't quite believable to me. Maybe if I had read the previous book, the one preceding this one, where I believe the two main characters met, then I'd believe their lifetime love match. The whole idea of aliens being the creators of humanity didn't work for me, especially since science has proven that Africa is the birthplace of humanity. Since the book aliens formed humans in their image, this was too farfetched even when I'm okay with, and even expect, to have to set aside reality. But that idea just pushed the edges of negative aspects of our society that worked against the book IMO. Finally, the sex scenes were plentiful but perfunctory in the way they were written and, therefore, read. So, this book was mediocre though not painful to finish. But it does not motivate me to pursue this author in the future.

Even better than the first!

Any additional comments?

Loved it! The aliens technology is simply amazing and I really enjoyed seeing how they live in their colony. Zaires imagination is amazing. I also really liked how the relationship with Korum & Mia is developing. We get to see a different side to Korum and I love him all the better for it. I don't know if I fully trust him, but that just makes it even more interesting. Mia seems more mature than she was in the first book, and I could actually feel them growing closer together in this book. Their relationship is beyond hot, very sexual, and I can't wait to see what happens in book 3. There is a danger looming and I am very curious to see who this mysterious K is.

Loved the Story - Not the Narration

Any additional comments?

I mush say i just loved the continued story of the The Krinar Chronicles and this book could of been a 4 Star if not for the terrible Narrator. She read so fast with no different voices between characters. Disappointing as i was so looking forward to this book. There is lot's of yummy Alien/Human Sex going on in this book plus we learn more about the world Korum comes from and there very different more advanced technology. I so love Fantasy World so if you can not handle the totally unrealistic best give this one a miss. I will grab the next in this series only if it has a much better Narrator.
