Technical Problems with this book

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I was excited to download this book by one of my favorite authors, Marcia Willet. I was disappointed because there are technical problems with the book. There are chapters out of order (which I found very confusing when reading and didn't realize until I got to the end and realized that chapters relating to the end were randomly stuck in the middle.) and the ending is missing completely.

Any additional comments?

Book would be enjoyable but the chapters are out of order and ending is missing.

Technical Difficulties made it confusing .

Who was your favorite character and why?

Technical difficulties with the download made listening to the book confusing.I had a copy of the book and was able to "sort it out" I am waiting for the problems to be fixed so I can re download the book. It is worth the wait! The Characters I liked the best were Sister Emily and Janna. The character development was excellent.Sister Emily was so wise and gentle with every one especially Janna and her reluctance to Commit . Janna was sensitive and caring despite her propensity to bolt. Listening to the book definitely enhances the story. More of Marcia Please!

What character would you cut from Christmas in Cornwall?

The Phoney writer

Any additional comments?

I love Marcia Willett's books . She writes wonderful descriptions of birds, scenery and flowers making you feel that you are right there in Cornwall. I have read all of her books but only have a few on audio.Would love to see more of her books available at Audible. Her writing style reminds me of Rosamunde Pilcher whose books I also really enjoy.

Not Willett's best

What would have made Christmas in Cornwall better?

First, the technical problems of the chapters out of order and then no ending would have helped but the story was a bit tedious and the repeated worries about the same old things got tiresome. I love Marcia Willett but this book just didn't do her justice. She could also limit her use of the word peripatetic.

Has Christmas in Cornwall turned you off from other books in this genre?

No

What character would you cut from Christmas in Cornwall?

None

Any additional comments?

I wish I would have seen the review about the technical problems before I purchased this book.

Uplifting and kind characters, captivating story, repeat listen welcome

Uplifting kind characters that are whole with real strengths and flaws alike. Learning from life challenges and personality traits that direct each individual life-paths and their intersections. Loving compassion underlying all in this story
