The second audiobook in the exciting and best-selling Justice Team romantic suspense series.

After sharing a single night of simmering passion with Mitch a year ago, Caroline hasn't been able to get him out of her head. Or her heart. He's already jeopardized her job once...helping him now could end her career. But a friend has been murdered, and no matter how Caroline feels about Mitch, he's not the killer. She needs answers, and she needs Mitch Monroe out of her life once and for all.
On the run and with no one to turn to, Mitch and Caroline can't fight the reigniting passion between them. She'll lose her career if she proves Mitch is innocent...he'll lose his life if she doesn't.

This is a great book; this is the second book in The Justice Team Series by Misty Evans and Adrienne Giordano and narrated by Michael Rahhal. Misty and Adrienne have done it again! This is book is just as good as the first book! This book can be listened/read as a standalone; however, I recommend that you listen to both books in the series because they are both awesome! Mitch is a former FBI agent who has been hiding, since he punched his former boss who is pressing charges. Mitch learns that his friends have been murdered and he is now being framed for their murder. He asks FBI agent Caroline for help. But last time he asked for Caroline’s help he almost ruined her career. They must work together to find out why his friends were killed and fight the passion they still have.
The narrator Michael Rahhal, did a great job, and was very easy to listen too. This is the first time I have listened to this narrator, and I am looking forward to listening to more books by him. He did a great job with the different characters and their voices.
This book has romance, humor, mystery, and kick ass females. I can’t get enough of this series. I can’t wait until the next book in the series comes out.
A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
Yes. The story is so intricate with plot twists and turns. Politics, corruption, gun running, and conspiracies abound. The research that was done to show the chain of command was evident as the story unfolded. I never knew what was coming next.
Alive at 5 by Linda Bond. Both of these books have well developed characters, plots that twist and turn and the main characters are total opposites but do work well together to unravel the mystery. Also the dialogue was filled with banter which often helped to relieve some of the more poignant moments in the story.
The accent for the southern gentleman. He also was able to give each of the character's dialogue the inflections so you got the sarcasm, the humor or the psychotic mind set of the villain.
No extreme reactions to this book. I often smiled listening to the banter between Mitch, Caroline, Brice, and Greystone.
Cheating Justice by Adrienne Giordano and Misty Evans
The second in the Justice series is a political thriller romance. Mitch is on the run, fingered for his best friends murder. With the help of his Justice team friends and sexy Caroline Foster, they unravel the threads of the mystery on gun running, murder, and espionage.
Mitch and Caroline have a romantic history and this story forces them together in tight quarters and situations.
I "read" this via Audible and it was narrated by Michael Rahhal. It was my first experience by a male narrator. I took me a little while to get used to the characters swearing. Hearing it out loud rather than reading it. And frankly, I laughed whenever he vocalized the surroundings. But it was still an enjoyable action read.
I liked the intrigue and depth of the political cover ups.
Manly, sincere, pointed.
I didn't like the beatings that Mitch got, but it added danger and passion to the story so in the end, it was needed.
Loved the characters of Mitch and Caroline, the sexual tension between these two, kept me wanting to listen to more of the story. Plenty of suspense and romance.
fast, hot and engaging!
I listen to this with my husband on a car trip. He's not into reading but doesn't mind listening to audiobooks when we are driving long distantce and even he loved this one. I am a huge fan of Misty and Adrienne's Justice books and this was the first one I have listen to and absolutely loved the narrator! He did an amazing job on it and it made the time in the car fly. I highly recoomend this series and will be trying more audio books by these authors.
No. I think I would have 'read' the story differently as a print reader. There were times I didn't feel this reader was true to the emotions.
I would probablly compare it mostly to some of the newer Nora Roberts mystery/romances.
I think he could have used more emotion.
A thriller with heat.
This was an extremely good romantic suspense story. It was well written, fast paced and had well developed characters. The narrator Michael Rahhal is excellent and I had no difficulty with who was speaking.
