Scandal meets seduction when America’s golden guy falls for a woman with secrets.
Beautiful Vega Zaragoza learned the hard way that sex and the spotlight don’t mix. Now the former model makes her living behind the camera, working as a videographer to escape public scrutiny. But when Vega gets a shot at her dream job, one that puts her back in the public eye, she must choose: continue to play it safe or gamble everything to go toe-to-toe - and heart-to-heart - with the city’s most eligible bachelor.
JP Davenport is the golden boy of American politics, rumored to be the governor’s first choice for Georgia’s open senatorial seat. Charming and gorgeous, he is also fiercely private, with a string of romantic conquests a mile long. Now he wants to add Vega to their ranks. And he will do anything to have her. Vega should know better than to trust a man like him. But kiss by heated kiss, she discovers this man may be worth the risk.

If someone is looking for just a romance, no action or mystery they would like it.
I would research the premise first. I prefer a little action or murder mystery with my romance.
She made the female's emotion so believable and captured her plight.
Yes, it was a diversion while cleaning the house. I doubt I will listen again though.
I have a real crazy in love relationship with books!!!
Obviously from the rating you can tell how much I enjoyed this book. Everything was spot on from the narration to the characters to the story. This is definitely a romance novel, but one where the main characters had some pretty decent flaws-no matter how beautiful and perfect they both looked on the outside. The cover picture does not do the book justice, as it indicates more of a trashy type chic lit/erotica book which this book is definitely not.
I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase and am currently on the prowl for more books by Kim Law with Natalie Ross narrating. Need I say more? Go buy it!
First there's too much anger and not even justified, just anger. I don't listen to these books to get into an angry place. Then you have to wonder why the main character is acting like a jerk for too long. I didn't enjoy the first hour enough to listen to the whole book. The narrator was fine, the story was just pathetic.
I would say this about this book. I just finished this book maybe a week ago and I don't remember much about it and I think that says a lot. It's not a horrible story by any means and I've listened to some horrible stories but it's no page turner either.
I would recommend it if it's on sale, I purchased it because it was on sale for 7.95 and the reviews were good. If I had used a credit I wouldn't be too happy right now.
This is the first of Natalie's work I've heard. She did a good job.
Sure why not, kept me entertained enough while I was at work.
I love all genres of books. However, when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
Caught on Camera is author Kim Law's debut novel. She uses the tried and true romance plot line of the wealthy golden boy who wants to rescue his working girl love. Law keeps it fresh and new making it ring true in this Cinderella-esque story. Is JP Davenport really the perfect man his public persona paints him to be? And Vega Zaragoza has had a taste of wealth and fame and isn't so easily charmed by JP's money.
JP Davenport has spent his life being groomed to follow in his father's footsteps in a life of politics. He is Georgia's golden boy, accustomed to women swooning at his feet and generally getting what he wants. Only, he isn't so sure he knows what he wants out of life. Politics was his parents' life, and now that his dad is gone, JP's mom is determined to see her favorite son step into the role.
Vega Zaragoza seems content with her role behind the camera as a photo journalist. So content that she protests a little too much whenever anyone suggests that she would be great in a role in front of the camera. She's done her time in the spotlight as a former supermodel and Vega found that sometimes the spotlight can burn.
Vega and JP cross paths when she is sent to film a celebrity golf tournament in which JP is playing. He promptly turns on the charm and is surprised when Vega declines to fall into his arms like so many other women have done. She's been involved with a politician before and has no desire to go back down that road. But an exclusive interview with the reclusive JP Davenport could be the big break her career needs. JP asks Vega on a date in hopes of wooing her into his arms and his bed. Vega agrees in hopes of wooing JP in front of her camera.
What they don't know is that they are each hiding secrets. Vega was once the star player in a political scandal and she will do anything to keep her past in the past. As her feelings for JP grow, she is equally determined not to let her past hurt his future. JP is hiding behind a facade of perfection and is desperate not to ruin his image as his mother's perfect son. A learning disability doesn't fit with the image of the glamorous playboy and brilliant politician that he has been groomed to be.
Can Vega and JP be honest with themselves, each other and the public? Can their relationship survive the truth? Caught on Camera is lovely romance and well worth the listen to find out if JP and Vega have the strength to be honest with each other and find love.
Listeners who like Nora Roberts will love this book it has a bit more spice. The book has some well written sex scenes that are not too explicit.
Natalie Ross is one of my favourite narrators ans she did not disappoint with her wonderful delivery of the story.
I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
Vega was desperate for an in-depth interview with JP, a rich, successful, handsome Playboy who came from an old traditional wealthy family and he was about to go into politics. But when they met it was JP who became desperate.... desperate for the beautiful Vega.
Of course there's sizzling chemistry and when Vega sees the real side of JP she can't resist him (well who could) but the shocking secrets from her past haunts her and stops her from committing more than a beautiful weekend with JP. However, things don't exactly go as planned but their passion and need for each other will have some devastating, heartbreaking and life altering consequences.
Vega isn't the only one with secrets and there's twists, shocks, angst and a lot of begging as the drama unfolds between these two lovers who try very hard to find a way out once the can labelled 'Secrets' has been opened and the worms are free to do their worst.
Worth a credit? This was a sweet, contemporary, unpredictable and totally enjoyable love story that had lots of romance, some tender sex scenes and a near perfect Hero but an annoying Heroine. I would have happily spent a credit on this but, at under $10 I just bought it saving the credit for a more costly, but not necessarily more entertaining, listen. Narration was good too.
I would probably recommend it to a friend.
Hmmm.....saw it coming.
I did like the narrator.
Oh yes, but it is not quite my normal listen.
This was the most predictable story I have ever listened to & I have listened to a lot. He's handsome, she's beautiful, she has a secret, so does he. They are attracted to each other. I imagine they have sex, but I could not listen to one more second of this dribble. I tried to listened to this double time as I did one other book because I sort of wanted to see how it ended & I was almost done. When I checked out how much more there was in this book & I was about 1/3 done, I knew double time wouldn't work.
Audio books is passive reading. I don't have to do anything special to actually listen except get in my car. I still could not listen to another second. As to the ending, what do you bet that they get together, fall in love, and share their really boring secrets.
This is the most negative review I've ever written & I wrote a review on another book starting with "was the author paid by the word" and this book is not even that good.
As to the reader, she was ok. I gave her 2 stars because it may have been the material, but her reading of the male characters was not very good. But it wasn't her fault this book was so bad.
