Publisher's summary

Katie Lane flat-out knows what her listeners want: steamy romances, hot cowboys, and love that conquers all. Catch Me a Cowboy finds Shirlene Dalton in fine fettle. Married to the man of her dreams and living in the biggest mansion in Bramble, Texas, she couldn’t ask for anything more. But then her hubby passes on and she lands back in a run-down trailer right next door to the perfect antidote for heartache: ruggedly handsome cowboy Billy Wilkes.

Good entertainment

Enjoyed it. Wasn't the best but at least it had a realistic happy ending. Narrator was good

A fun and crazy kind of story...

This is book 3 in the Deep in the Heart of Texas Series. I've listened to all three books and recommend all of them. Listening to the books in order is preferable (so you can get to know the crazy people of Bramble, TX) but not necessary. This is a story about picking up the pieces of your life and starting over. It's about appreciating family and friends and realizing that truly the best things in life are free.

Although this story is very fun, there are parts that are very sad and I cried my eyes out (and I'm not a crier). But all the suffering was so very worth it to get such a satisfying wonderful ending. I can't wait for the next book to come out in audio format.

Narration: Nicole Poole is a great narrator. She nails that Texan drawl! And she adds to the story by making it funnier and more vivid. I actually started reading this book and found the audio version much better. If you are looking for a fun contemporary romance listen and don't mind the heavy Texan drawl then you need to get this.

Nicole Poole is a perfect match for Katie Lane

If you could sum up Catch Me a Cowboy in three words, what would they be?

My New Favorite

What did you like best about this story?

I love the people in the book. They are crazy funny, caring, and just the kind of people you would want to know.

What does Nicole Poole bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She has an amazing way of giving all the characters personality. She makes it like listening to a movie on TV. She makes it come to life

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I hate this question. It is always so hard to do this.... A modern Mayberry set in Texas?

Any additional comments?

Another 5 star for Katie Lane.

Hilarity continues in the 3rd book about the Texas town of crazy and wonderful people. I feel in love with them all in book one of this series and I wish it really existed because the people are funny, caring and I know I said it already, but crazy.

I would love to go to the diner and sit and talk with them all and watch the chaos swirl around.

This book picks up with the story of a group of kids who have escaped from an abusive foster family, a rich hunky cowboy who is pretending to be just a big old good ole' boy using the trailer next door as a hunting lodge and a sexy widow down on her luck.

It is a heart warming story that is just too funny.

I am on my way out the door right now to get the next in the series.

If you like audible books, make sure you get this series. I have books 1, 2, and 3. Nicole Pool is an amazing narrator with great voices really brings this wonderful town to life

Meh....

I really liked the first two books in this series but this one lost it's steam. Never saw much of a relationship develop between h/h. It just kind of happened. I liked all the characters but it just lacked a little luster. It's a decent listen but not one I couldn't put down. Meh....

Narrator did a good job, tho.

I felt sorry for the main character throughout

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The story is what it is, but after really liking the character of Shirlene I just felt so sorry for her being taken advantage of throughout the book I knew it would turn out ok, but it was hard to read.

What do you think your next listen will be?

The next in the series...it is a really good series.

What about Nicole Poole’s performance did you like?

Her narration of the entire series is wonderful. Very talented.
