Book 1 - Learning To Love
For Miranda, Newark has nothing to offer except a dead-end job, a crummy apartment, and an abusive boyfriend. But when her younger sister signs her up for an online dating website to prove to her the kinds of guys who would be interested in her, she starts an online connection with the perfect guy. He's handsome, he's a real-life cowboy, and - he's in his seventies! Now Miranda and Casey have a choice to make, but will they be willing to put aside their mistrust and give this a shot, or go their separate ways?
Book 2 - Searching For Love
When Carey and Amy find themselves headed back to the Carson Hill Ranch and into waiting danger, can they lean on each other for the strength they will need to fend off a crazed drug dealer bent on revenge?
Book 3 - Counting On Love
The twins' younger brother, Joseph, is trapped in a downward spiral of drinking and drugs, all in an effort to cope with the daily pain he lives with after being thrown from his horse months ago. Not sure what to do or believe, the family enlists the help of Emma, a girl with a shady past, who knows the nightmare of addiction all too well. Can Emma help Joseph find his way out of the pit, before they lose him for good?

Miranda's life has not been easy, raising her sister, dealing with an abusive boyfriend then finding out what else her boyfriend was doing... Miranda decides to follow the opportunity to marry a cowboy she met on the internet. the two face some ups and downs, but end us with a sweet romance story. loved the book, so glad I have 5 more in the series to enjoy. the narrator did a fantastic job pulling you into the story and keeping you entertained. I love that this narrator has the ability to truly embody each character she reads , it is a major talent that not many have. I am so excited that she narrated the entire series.
this series does need to be read in order for complete understanding. in book two we follow Carey through his journey of finding his soulmate. Never did he think it would be one of the City Slickers that have come out to try to learn how to Ranch. the story is quite entertaining and does build off of the first book and continues on with the same characters so you're still getting a little bit more information on the original characters and now we're building the other characters up. I found the storyline to be really familiar and was hoping for something a little more unique like we got to see in the first book. The narrator did a fantastic job continuing the series. it takes an extreme talent to pull you into the story and keep you entertained and Valerie definitely has that ability. on to book 3
Book 3 is about Emma and Joseph. Each book is focused on one of the Carson brothers and builds off the ones before it. These are sweet country romances that focus on the building of the relationship, not the physical part. I'm surprised by how much I enjoy this series, which I think is mainly in part because of the narrator. Valerie Gilbert does an amazing job bringing the characters to life and giving each character a unique Style. I cannot wait to start book 4.
- Book 1 – Learning To Love
Vivid Description of the outdoors and Ranch Life.
Miranda, the female lead, her younger sister signs her up for on-line dating and she is in for a big surprise when they finally meet!
I liked Casey and thought he was sweet, I also thought that he and Miranda were perfect for each other.
Overall, This was a well written story and I really enjoyed it.
- Book 2 – Searching For Love
Carey, the male lead, has a lot on his plate when his twin brother goes on his honeymoon.
He has to keep the cattle in line, watch over Amy, the female lead, and has to deal with a drug dealer who is threatening everyone.
This book has a little Action and Romance, and in my opinion, a well worthwhile read.
- Book 3 - Counting On Love
Joseph, the male lead, has a drinking problem, his family is worried and asks Emma for help.
Emma has her own share of problems but is willing to help. Joseph and Emma have several things in common.
Overall, I enjoyed this story as much as the others.
The author has well rounded deep main characters as well as the caring family members.
There are a few slightly emotional scenes as well a balance of sweet scenes, I look forward to more books by this author.
Valerie Gilbert did a good job with the narration.
