Publisher's summary

Cord McMillan gave up his freedom at 18 when he went to jail for a crime he didn’t commit. Now, 10 years later, he’s about to give it up again for a piece of land. Nevada Britain, his neighbor, has just made him an offer he can’t refuse: If he’ll marry her, she’ll sign over a section of property that their families have been fighting over for 100 years. Nevada refuses to explain why, but Cord knows the bargain is in his favor. He just has one condition - she has to sleep in his bed every night for as long as their doomed marriage lasts. Nevada only wants to maintain her family’s legacy - and redeem herself for a wrong she did Cord years ago. But as she spends more time with her husband by necessity, she discovers something unexpected - a love so deep it takes her breath away.

Loved this story

I loved this story about a woman who must find a way to make it on her own after a terrible marriage. She is desperate to make her ranch successful and strikes up a deal with an ex felone not realizing the great love they both found in each other. I look forward to listening to more stories in this series.

Likeable characters

I enjoy Jodie Thomas's characters from the little Texas town of Harmony. The stories are fun, sometimes suspenseful, and well written. However, unlike the first books in the series, the recent books in the series have too many explicit sexual encounters to suit me. The romance lines are fine, but please leave out the graphics, Miss Thomas.

Loved this book!

This story was exciting from beginning to end. I love all the characters in Harmony. Keeping up with the original ones and meeting new ones like Navada and Cord. This was one great love story. I could read it again and again!
