Another favourite!

I am a huge SEP fan and this book did not disappoint! Loved it - definitely worth my credit!

I miss Anna Fields so mcuh

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

While this story is classic SEP, the loss of the wonderful Anna Fields hits home. Don't get me wrong, Shannon Cochran is very good. But when you're used to perfection, even very good is disappointing.

Not an SEP favorite.

I have listen to hundreds of books but rarely review. I want to give props to the narrator. I think she did an excellent job and I would listen to other books she has done.

The story on the other hand lacked for me. I never felt like Meg evolved over time and I felt Ted never did either. There were familiar story lines from other books and much of the story felt recycled. This book was an easy listen but over all I don't feel a draw to revisit these characters again as I do with many of the other SEP books.

SEP is back!

After her last book I am glad to see SEP is back. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely re-listen to it again. I have gotten so used to Anna Fields read SEP books that I was a little hesitant with the narrator but Shannon Cochran were great. I also enjoy the character Francesca Day in this book better than in Fancy Pant. The only disappointment .. there was no ???the last chapter??? but glad to have we had an epilogue!

Wonderful..SEP does it again!

Highly Recommend this funny touching account of Meg, a sassy, gutsy, success challenged young woman, who finds herself and finds Ted, a financially successful, emotionally challenged, Texas hunk. The dialog, the plot and the narrator does a wonderful job....if you listen to this you will have experienced life in Texas with all its loveable bigger than life characters. The narrator is exceptionally good as is the story! I love the fact that SEP uses familiar characters from her other stories. Now I'll have to listen to Glitter Baby and Fancy Pants again. This book is right up there with Natural Born Charmer. I'm already listening to this one a second time and I just finished it! SEP... Thank you for a wonderful vacation, please keep writing! I'm already looking forward to your next book. This one was OUTSTANDING!!!

SO FUNNY!

Read a couple of reviews that were SO off the mark, jaw dropped. Yes, this one didn't have a zany opening, like many of hers, but it was SUCH a great listen. Listened to it for the first time on a long drive to doctor's office, and swear that people on the road passing me or driving beside me thought I was insane, I was laughing so hard. Surprised, really, that someone didn't report me as a crazy person on the road. Continued while walking dog, same thing. I'm pretty certain neighbors thought I'd lost it. SO GOOD. And can't say enough about the reader. She handled Texas Southern, UK English, no accent US English, and male sexy (and there were LOTS of sexy males) so perfectly. She came as close to Jim Dale doing Harry Potters as I've ever listened to, where she didn't really need dialogue tags, because I knew instantly from the voice who was speaking. That's truly my test.

I've now listened to it about 8 times, mostly the others while I turned on friends and family to SEP books. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM went out and found the audio some other way, as my evil plan was to give them a taste, and let them take it from there. My father, not even a romance fan, asked me the day after he listened to part of this, to go online and find a list of SEP in order of release, and then mark the ones that were golf and football related. He's since listened to at least three, and keeps going back for more. His health is shaky right now, and listening to SEP is a respite, and, I THINK, wonderful for his health.

This book was entertaining romantic funny well written well read and an absolutely wonderful book.

Awsome as usual!!

I really enjoyed reading this book. So many characters from previous stories. Susan Elizabeth Phillips is great, she never dissapoints me. I can't wait for her next book!!!

Truly enjoyed this book...

This author never lets me down. I love all of her books. I think with this book she was able to capture some of the humor she lost in the last few books that she has written.
This book had me scrambling to reread some of her earlier books and I enjoyed them as much as I did the first time around.

Gotta love SEP!

Another great story! Homely little Teddy is grown and perfect until he meets messy Meg!
