After reading and enjoying the unique story-line in the first book of the series, I was definitely interested in continuing on to this second book. While I liked the first book, this one blew me away. I love the way this author tells a story. Along with all the intricate details and amazing character depth, there was a steadiness in the pacing that kept me invested. In fact, I was emotionally invested from the first few chapters until the sigh-inducing ending. Adriana Anders has delivered a story that is equally intense in its relationships, romance, as well as suspense. I can't wait to see what her creative mind brings to the third book

I haven't read anything like the heroine's background /past, that was unique. I feel like this book was too long and that some things could have been edited.
