I'm working off my buttons.
But I'm also giving them away.
The more I fall for Crow, the more I want him to do the things that I want. Dinners, dates, and evenings at the beach.
Everything comes at a price, and quickly the hoard of buttons I worked hard to earn are depleted.
Will this go back and forth forever? Or will someone run out of their buttons first?

I absolutely loved this book and in the end it said "Buttons and Pain is available now".... searched everywhere to find out it's not available until MAY 16th!!! Whatttt?!?! Why the heck would you say it's available when it's not??? I am not a patient person so I'm so sad when I thought I could move on with the Pearl and Crow saga :(
Even though this is a dark love story, it has its moments of beauty. These are twisted up people finding their own way with affection, and while this isn't a sweet feel good type of story, there are moments of sweetness, and there are moments that make you feel good.
The author has bridged the gap with this book, the gap that usually makes you feel pretty sick after the darker story lines with something different. While this type of love isn't for everyone, it is right for the two in the book.
The performers were great. Not one complaint. Both of them read beautifully and with just the right amount of emotion. I'm buying book three now and hoping its as good as this one :)
Crow and Pearl are so magnificent together. I loved this first book but this one has stolen my heart. It's a story that never lets your attention wane. I'm going to start the next book in the series now. I can't possibly stop reading this until I know what happens.
If there was a substance to the story besides repeated pornographic descriptions.
Narrators were fine.
I bought this book because of the 4.5 star rating. I am not sure how to trust the rating systems anymore. The description said it was a psychological suspense. I thought it was a cheap porn.
A much better writer than E.L. James but not as good as Laurelin Page. The series defintely kept me interested and wanting to know what happens though! Waiting for Buttons & Pain
Like all the book, the first and the second one can't wait for the third one, at the beginning I felt guilty, because of the subject matter, I read,a little and then put it down, then read some more because I need to know what was going to happen, and I had to remind my self that these things do happen to people and shouldn't be taking lightly, and if this was in real life happening that you were a witness I would hope people would act accordingly, but now back to,the story, Crow needs to see the light and he will, want to kill bones, and for a while I'm still ticked off with crow's brother, but I hope buttons makes it home and crow comes after her,is an intense love story so I do recommend it, but beware is a little more out there than your normal story, but it's good
"Thoughts about this book."
