Publisher's summary

Bred by capricious parents for his innate leopard-shifting abilities, billionaire Jake Bannaconni has spent his life in an emotional vacuum - especially after a tragic twist of fate left him to raise his infant son alone. But when his path crosses that of an enigmatic young woman, Jake’s life takes a detour he never fathomed.

There is something irresistible about Emma Reynolds - something Jake can’t live without. Hiring her as his son’s nanny will keep her close. And warm. And under watch. She’s the first human to stir something in Jake, something he’s never felt before. But Emma may not be all that she seems. And what’s raging between them is pure animal instinct - out of control, burning wild, and as hot as the lick of a flame.

Not Phil Gigante

I love this book and was looking forward to the audio, then I saw Phil Gigante was the narrator, but it's not, it's Jeffrey Cummings. Little disappointed it's not Gigante but hoping I like this narrator anyway.

The story is great and the narrator nailed it. Christine Feehan can definitely weave a great story. She pulls no punches.

Jake is the ultimate leopard.

This was the first book of this series that I read and by far my favorite. I have the paper back which is marked for the 'best parts.' Jake and Emma make you want them to succeed. I found this story one of my favorites and it is why I bought the earlier books and have continued to buy the books as they have been published. Christine Feehan is a terrific story teller and the Leopard People is one of her best series.

Jake is richer than most and ruthless as are most of the leopards in these books. I like the story told here about Jake and Emma and their experiences. If you like strong men not afraid to be strong, these books are for you. There is no abusiveness but there is some manipulation on Jake's part and there is lots of sex.

Jeffrey Cummings is a good narrator and has a strong voice which is needed for the storyline.

One of my favorite books!

Christine Feehan is one of my very favorite authors! I've read almost all of her books and most of them more than once. Burning Wild is one of her works that I absolutely adore!! However, the narrator seriously needs to work on his female character voices! Emma is a loving, sweet, innocent, lighthearted character that sees the good in people and brings teasing joy to those around her. The narrator did not do her justice and left much to be desired! He made her sound hauty, superior, entitled and combative. This tone drastically contradicted the core of her character. It was a disappointing performance. As a side note, Joshua sounded like a teenage boy when he's a strong character in his own right.

A different take but I LOVED it

The beginning tore my heart out for both Jake and Emme. Yes I too hated the Evil Ones. I was excited clear to the End!! A true Christine Feehan Novel!
