O-M-G.........

Many times when there is a series that you fall in love with at the first book, you don't expect them to keep the momentum. As listening to them (FABULOUS NARRATOR), I considered Book 3 as being my favorite!!!!! UNTIL THIS ONE!!! Holy Baby Jesus Miss Clare.......bravo on this book! I was gripped from the beginning and sleep deprived until the end!

I felt all the emotions which was from the clever writing and the delivery of the narrator. Passion, anxiety, heartache, fear and love; I cried and laughed!!

Can I just say May 2013 is TOOOOOOOOOO long for the next!!

Best in the I-Team Series

Captivating story with credible backdrop of journalist and U.S. law enforcement investigating Mexican drug cartels, human trafficking, etc. Reintroduces characters from prior books in the series, but could be read as stand-alone. Narrator great with male voices but not so with female voices. Romance is tender; sex is hot; friendships touching; violence a bit graphic at times. Recommend you read the whole series, but if you decide to read just one--pick this one.

Nice Romantic Suspense

Any additional comments?

I read this book a while ago, and decided to give the audio a try. Since then, I've listened to two other I-Team books. This one so far is my favorite, in that it is a bit different from the other two, but not by much. They are very formulaic, and only the character's names seem to change. The heroine's life is threatened because of a story she's following, she goes off into hiding/protective custody with hero to protect her, they repeatedly have sex during this time without any commitment (only physical attraction), heroine's life is in mortal danger from the bad guy, hero comes to save the day. Hero has major commitment issues for various reasons, and doesn't admit his love for the heroine until the end, keeps pushing her away even after she tells him she loves him, yet she continues to have sex with him. Oh, and there's always the "am I pregnant?" question hanging in the air.

Lots of strong language, and many graphic sex scenes. A huge turn-off for me is when the F word is used between a couple when they are supposed to have feelings for each other. It just sort of demeans the act. Call me old-fashioned (but not old)

What I like about Ms Clare's books is that she obviously puts in a lot of time researching her subject material, and that makes the stories interesting to me. What I don't like so much is that there is way too much character introspection, which overlaps with the narration. The books could be a lot shorter without all the repetition.

Kaleo Griffith did an excellent job bringing these characters to life, giving each a distinct voice.

I didn't love it.

I read the reviews of others and decided to purchase this book. This is the first one I have purchased by this author. It wasn't bad and I didn't hate it but it was very unexciting. I guess I have just read/listened to better. I didn't like the male narrator's voice of female characters and by the end I was glad it was over. It was very typical, boy meets girl, both have emotional baggage and can't or think they can't make it together even though they think they love each other. They leave each other and get back together in the end...happy ending. Don't get me wrong, lots of people get killed and there is a lot of action and adventure (most of impossible except for in your imagination) andit is interesting but not as good as I expected based on the reviews.

Wonderful narrator.

What made the experience of listening to Breaking Point: I-Team Series, Book 5 the most enjoyable?

Kaleo Griffith is a new favorite narrator. He narrates in such a way that you can tell when the characters are thinking as well as talking, and his voices are nicely done. This story was fast paced and had a lot of action (both kinds...).

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this story right up until the end - tiny spoiler here, but not for the plot - where the female character seemed to go from being an independent, driven, curious journalist to a stay-at-home mom in the blink of an eye. This struck me as odd and out of character, and even more odd because all her female friends at the paper still seem to work there even after starting families.

Reread

this is the second time I've read this book. The first time I've read it as an audio book. Kaleo really brought it to life. It is definitely my favorite of all of the I team books.
