Sasha has always known she was different, but now she also knows that the shadow men she's seen all her life, are real.
With a life goal of fitting in, Sasha hopes her strange abilities will finally make true friendship a possibility. Unfortunately, her magic doesn't function like everyone else's. What she thought would make her belong, sets her apart now more than ever.
Stefan, all but promised to a different woman, has tried to keep his mind on his duties instead of the irresistible and free-spirited human. But when she is threatened, he can't keep his distance anymore. He'll stop at nothing to keep her safe, and more importantly, make her his.
Just when one thing clicks into place, another spirals out of control. Stefan's clan isn't the only group that would benefit from an extremely rare type of magic. And their enemies will stop at nothing to get what they want.

Great second book. The storyline delves into enhancing Stefan & Sasha's relationship with a twist of betrayal. The main character's plight to emotionally deal with the changes and now bullying keeps the reader engaged. I couldn't help laughing out loud several times! Please complete the series in Audible format!
Like the first four books of the series.
The giant planet onslaught in the classroom
Her professor "meh" one. And the bouch in the white cap. Maybe even Charles.
A comical, disfunctional human with a magical personality.
This series, I've discovered just recently, is better when it's on the 1.25x speed increase. The first book I found to be dragging. The narrator just narrates really slow. But perblem solved. Just increase the speed of the audible and it's actually perfect.
Like the first book I really enjoyed listening to it the second time around after reading it last year. I would definitely buy the rest of the series to continue my re-read.
I think I would recommend this story to people who enjoy Elemental Assassin, Night Huntress, The Hollows
I'm glad Stephen finally let his primal side take over.
Looking forward to the rest of the series!
