Publisher's summary

Nicole Martin was only eight years old when the vampire slaves rose up in rebellion and killed her family. Now she devotes her life to finding a vaccine against vampirism, hoping to wipe out her memories - along with every bloodsucker on the planet. But there's one thing she cannot destroy: Her searing, undeniable attraction for the one man she should hate and fear the most.

A member of the renegade vampire MoonBound Clan, Riker is haunted by demons of his own. When he recognizes Nicole and remembers how her family enslaved his loved ones, his heart burns for vengeance. But when he kidnaps Nicole and holds her in a secret lair, his mortal enemy becomes his sole obsession, his greatest temptation, and, perhaps, his only salvation - a hot-blooded lover who could heal him with her touch….or bury him forever.

New take on vampires

This book had a different take on vampires, vampires as slaves of humans. Interesting story, however the narration was a bit lacking

Great Book to listen to

This was about a person that believed one thing growing up because her father told her that and she lost her family when she was about eight years old. When Nicole Martin was Twenty-eight years old she works for the company that her father made try to make it so vampires better salves. When her family was killed so was one of the vampire salves that was with child. So the vampire that was the father of the child tried to get her and the child out of salverly but she died and Riker thought his child was too. Now would be the time to Buy the book and it would be worth it just to find out about the people in it. I will be getting more from this author. Thank you for writing books for us to read.

A great series with vampires ofcourse:) !

I orginally bought and listened to all the books in this series when they first came out .However, I had not left any feedback so I wanted to leave it now. This is a different take on any vampire story to date that I know of and thankfully the author kept the main characters in each series throughout the series for the most part unlike the majority of paranormal romance series which is somethingI truly hate. I would definitely recommend this series for those pnr listeners out there :)
The narration was good in all the books in this series:)

Still debating on how good this book is…

I love the Demonica and Horseman series, so much that this was an instant download for me. And although this book was okay, it was nowhere near as good as her other books. It was almost unbelievable that the main characters actually got together and fell in love. Nicole character was not congruent, she went from doing lab test on vampires to being a vampire lover. She was supposed to be smart, but she blatantly ignored horrors that were right under her nose. She must know how the slaves were treated, yes I can see when she was a child she didn't know better, but she was 28 in the book. What got my caw was the fact she supported things I wouldn't wish on anybody not animals, not people, and not vampires. I know she didn't know the extent of what was happening, but still she was supposed to have been the CEO. After I got over her the book improved and I will probably read the next book, based on how well I liked her other series, who knows maybe this one will improve. I liked the narrator pretty good but I'm not as picky as other listeners out there. Overall I would give this a 3.5, it's hard to rate because the characters weren't great but the world building has potential.

Inrense Beyond Belief

As a young girl, my friends and I had procured Harlequin Romance novels and snuck around reading them. This is the adult sized version with just enough paranormal intrigue to keep me listening and wanting more and more and more...

Yay for the new Vampires

Excellent story with a twist on vampire slavery. It's great to see new ideas written with clarity and definition. I sincerely enjoy reading a book that makes me feel like I'm there. This is as if the author has an uncanny ability to transport me to the story itself.
