Publisher's summary

Shannon Bodine is a talented graphic artist whose life revolves around her job at a prestigious New York advertising agency. Her world is turned upside down when she learns the identity of her real father: Thomas Concannon.

Respecting her late mother's wish, Shannon travels, however reluctantly, to County Clare. There, her loneliness and shame melt away in the embrace of the family she never knew existed. And amid the lush Irish landscape, steeped in mysticism and legend, she discovers the possibility of a love that is meant to be.

It's been20 years

I've loved this Trilogy but would love an update about their children perhaps?
My husband teases me about listening to them over and over, but it's like coming home and visiting with dear friends!

Excellent book, excellent recording

I seem to be the type that reads the book first then listens to the audio recording. I really think the narrator's Irish accent adds to this book and I've enjoyed all three in this trilogy.

Engaging from the beginning. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I wanted it to end with a wedding and a baby on the way though

The third daughter comes home to Ireland

Amanda Bodine makes a deathbed confession to her daughter about her romance with a married man while on holiday in Ireland. Shannon Bodine is shocked and doesn’t welcome contact from Tom Concannon’s daughters, but decides to come to Ireland in response to Brianna’s letter.
Shannon doesn’t expect her deep attraction to Murphy Muldoon, neighbor to the Concannons. Her life opens further when she goes back to her painting; the hobby she put aside for her business career.
Douglas does surprisingly well as a male reading this series. His accent adds to the story.

Loved this series & loved the narration

If you could sum up Born in Shame in three words, what would they be?

Really really good ;)

What other book might you compare Born in Shame to and why?

Other really really good Nora Roberts books ;) lol

What does Fiacre Douglas bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The accent and experience.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

n/a

Any additional comments?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. At first I wasn't going to buy the series because of all the comments regarding the narration, but the sample was fine by me - so I went ahead, and am very happy I did. I loved the narration with an irish accent - and every part of the way he told the story. I love the way Nora Roberts writes, she always leaves you with knowledge to walk away with - I love that.
