When gallery owner Rogan Sweeney comes to Maggie's isolated studio, her heart is enflamed by their fierce attraction - and her scarred past is slowly healed by a gentle and forgiving love.

Bad narrator

Worst narrator ever! Doesn't do a Nora Roberts novel justice - he spoke far to fast & his Irish accents were horrible

Born in Fire

I love Nora Roberts stories. The only trouble I had was listening to the narrator. I found that Maggie and Breana sounded to harsh for my taste.

could be better

I like this author and her style. However, she is getting carried away with her love of coincidence. The story could stand on its own without some of the "incredible" coincidences that occur. To me this takes away from the total. I want to believe that it could possibly happen.

The Perfect Romance

Would you listen to Born in Fire again? Why?

It is very pleasing, well written, romantic, funny, sexy, strong and full of craft.

Any additional comments?

I loved the accent, I have always been drawn to the Irish culture and this only served to make me want to travel more.
What a strong & intelligent woman - yet her heart as complex as any womans.
Great escape from a womans normal weekly grind, I will enjoy going back and listening again.

Better every time

I love this book. I got it in paperback from my mother years ago, and I make a point to read the series at least once a year.
I love the audio of this, it forces me to actually enjoy the book (I tend to read through the night, finishing books in 2 days). The narrator absolutely captured it perfectly.

Exceptional Story

This is my favorite trilogy by Nora Roberts. This one and the key trilogy are her best works.

Great Story, bad narrator

I very much enjoyed this story, it was creative and interesting. However, the narrator made it extremely difficult to endure the audio. He read very quickly with little to no inflection or feeling at all. He was not the kind of reader that I would expect from a Nora Roberts book. I was very disappointed with the audio version will definity read the rest of the series in paperback.
