Publisher's summary

Falling in love is easy; staying alive long enough to enjoy it just might be impossible.

Javan Rhodes, the hard-drinking, disreputable captain of space freighterThe Kypris, took a mission to save himself from hitting the bottom of the food chain. Transporting Sola, a beautiful young aristocrat, from Earth to an unknown destination on the outer rim of the colonies is lucrative, but also highly illegal.

As tough as it is to evade both the law and the lawless, the hardest part of the job is not falling in love with his irresistible cargo. Just as he decides that he will never be able to hand her over to the warlord she must marry, he discovers that Sola has been playing a very dangerous game—one that could not only cost them their lives, but could also affect the balance of power in an increasingly dangerous universe.

umm ok

The story line was OK, but I had the hardest time getting through it because the narrator's voice was extremely annoying. It sounded like she was on the verge of having laryngitis. The first half of the story drove me nuts and I probably will never listen to a book by this narrator again.

Sola is a daughter of a dictator that wants to rule the Universe and has created psychopathic children that will rule after he dies. Javan was a war hero that was manipulated by the dictator. This is a short story that tells how they fell in love and the beginning of the a change in the universe.

romantic silliness

Is there anything you would change about this book?

it's a good story of its kind, exposition speeches are probably a little too long. Maybe author should have tried to weave some of those into the story line.

Would you ever listen to anything by Diane Dooley again?

yeah, anybody who can this kind of dialog without giggling is a pretty good actor in my book

What does Gina Cedarwood bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

this is the sort of story I probably would have put down if reading. Gina got me to the end

Could you see Blue Galaxy being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

no way!!!!! (thinks of some of the dialog and intimate moments, shudders)

Any additional comments?

this i not my usual cup of tea. Listened at one go while I was doing housework.

The 3 R's

Sex, slavery, and psychopathy. What ever happened to a good story. At tleast the fantasy was intergalactic.
