Publisher's summary

Against the backdrop of a house steeped in history and a thriving new gardening business, three women unearth the memories of the past in the first novel in #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts’ In the Garden Trilogy.

A Harper has always lived at Harper House, the centuries-old mansion just outside of Memphis. And for as long as anyone alive remembers, the ghostly Harper Bride has walked the halls, singing lullabies at night…

Trying to escape the ghosts of the past, young widow Stella Rothchild, along with her two energetic little boys, has moved back to her roots in southern Tennessee. She isn’t intimidated by Harper House - nor by its mistress. Despite a reputation for being difficult, Roz Harper has been nothing but kind to Stella, offering her a comfortable place to live and a challenging new job as manager of the flourishing In the Garden nursery.

As Stella settles comfortably into her new life, she finds a nurturing friendship with Roz and expectant mother Hayley and a fierce attraction to ruggedly handsome landscaper Logan Kitridge. He’s difficult but honest, brash but considerate - and undeniably sexy. And for a sensible woman like Stella, he may be just what she needs...

Great book, wonderful series,

What made the experience of listening to Blue Dahlia the most enjoyable?

Listening to the story let my imagination go wild. I loved the voices and the story line. I could just picture the heat between Logan and Stella. I just love Roz, Harper and Hailey. I listened to it again right after I finished the series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Blue Dahlia?

The sex was beautiful not dirty, but very very hot!

Have you listened to any of Susie Breck’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I had never listened to her before, but I love her. I will be looking for others she does.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

She thought her life was over, but it was just beginning, a new life, love and adventure.

Any additional comments?

I hope the rest of Nora Roberts books make you love the people like I did these people.

If looking for a scary ghost story this is not it

It is a beautiful romance.

I love gardening and a good romance and this was a widow with young children to which I could relate. Stella's character could actually be any one of us mothers. But if you are looking for a scary ghost story this is not it. The way the story is told it is not even closed to being a scary story at all. If anything you will feel sorry for the Herper Bride ghost by the end of the novel.

If you have an interest in gardening, landscaping, propagation, or cross pollination Nora Roberts paints beautiful pictures or all of these processes. She does this using Miss. Roz who runs her surroundings from her beautiful gardens, her loved one's lives surrounding the gardens, and her love for the old house.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Blue Dahlia. It's a delightful love story with interesting characters including, Amelia, the convoluted ghost.
