"Her stories have fueled the dreams of twenty-five million readers." (Entertainment Weekly)
"Roberts is deservedly one of the best known and widely read of all romance writers." (Library Journal)
I love Nora Roberts' books but was very disappointed in the narration of this book. I would be very cautious about purchasing another book narrated by Ashley Adlon. I found the tone and inflections used in interpreting the characters very irritating especially the male characters.
If the male characters had not sounded so abrupt and high-handed I feel it would have been much better.
This has been my least favorite of Nora Roberts' books. The story line wasn't the best in my opinion. I finished listening to it but couldn't wait to get it over with.
I've read this book so I knew the plot. [it's simple, light-hearted-and fun] I don't sleep well, so I thought this would be a good audio to listen to at 3am.
The reader ruined it for me.
1. she reads it too fast.
2. she ruined the feel of the book.
3.she doesn't do emotions well.
4. she made the girl sound like a spoiled idiot -Nora didn't write it that way.
I wasted my money on this one.
I gave it 2 stars because it's a Nora Roberts book; I would give it a -minus10 stars for the reader.
