Parker Black wants the one woman he shouldn't have - his buddy's girl. She's sweet and smart, but clueless about how deep Parker lives in Titan's virtual world. Everything is controlled. Chaos is mastered with data and risk analysis. That is the way he understands his world, how he plays his role to keep Titan teams alive.
But he's wrong. About everything.
Lexi Dare lives two lives. She's an unhappy fiancée stuck in a spiraling relationship, unsure how she ended up with a ring on her finger and an abuser in her bed. But she's also elusive. Elite. A master hacker playing deadly stakes.
When the lines blur and the truth comes out, Lexi's only shot at survival is the trust of her rival - her equal - before it's too late.

This is my favorite Titan book to date and I've enjoyed all of them. The characters are well-written and have depth. I struggled with the alcoholic character, but that's because he was very realistically written. Cristin never lets you down with the ending scenes either. Great read.
not enough testosterone and estrogen to make that many guys and gals that horny.
all foul mouths and way to much sex
terrible female voices all tha breathy aroused talk.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading about each one of these characters. I've been lost in this series, and I've loved every second of it!
Absolutely! I love the Titan Series. Each book is better than the previous. The stories are fast paced, have really bad guys, love of romance in a tough guy sort of way, and heroes of the very best kind!
The connection that Parker and Lexi had regarding being foster kids who never had a family and a background similar as to both of them being in foster care. They both turned to the tech world and became the very best they could be in that world. Ultimately used their skills for good.
I love Jeffrey Kafer's voice. I recently listed to another book by another man and I didn't enjoy listening to him nearing as much! I think Jeffrey did a great job on all his characters, making sure each one had a different tone and never once did I hear a mistake such as running any of the characters together. I think Parker was my favorite.
At the end of the book when Parker was talking about their life together and showing Lexi the property he bought so he could build their a home together, he talked about how he felt about her--This was some of the most romantic scenes I've read in a very long time! Loved it.
Can't wait for the next one!!!
Say something about yourself!
Glad for a happy ending for Parker. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and hated for it to end. I became so attached to all of the characters as each story progressed and they became family. Funny to know how of of their kids turned out. Cristin Harber is a new favorite for me.
I liked the plot of this book. Although I was screaming at the main female character to "get her life" for the first five chapters. After listening to all of the books in this series, this was one of my favorites. The dialogue for the hero really appealed to me. It seem more realistic. I don't personally know military men, but so many books make present them as using the the F-word in every sentence. I think this hero was anti-type even for this series.
