"Great Sandra Brown Book Really Enjoyed It"
Would you listen to Bittersweet Rain again? Why?

Sure, it is a solid book with multi dimensions. Some parts are a bit unbelievable but hey, its fiction.

Caroline Dawson survived the town gossips who whispered behind her back. She survived the slow death of her husband, Roscoe Lancaster, the richest man in the county and her senior by three decades. But she feared she might not survive Rink Lancaster, her husband's son.

Years before she married, when she and Rink were teens, he had introduced Caroline to her first tremulous taste of love - and then broke her heart. Now Rink is back. He says he wants to settle his father's estate. But driven by a storm of emotions as undeniable as before and more dangerous than ever, what he really wants is to settle the score with Caroline.

What did you like best about this story?

The dynamic between Rink and Caroline.

Have you listened to any of Joyce Bean’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I'm not sure but she put forth a good performance...male and female characters were well defined.

    Any additional comments?

A nice read - parts are a bit dated but easily overlooked.

Caroline Dawson was labeled as the town drunks daughter, her father. She survived the slow death of her much older husband, Roscoe Lancaster, the richest man in the county and Rink's father. When she and Rink were teens, they fell in love and then Rink broke her heart. Now Rink is back to settle his father's estate but what he really wants is to settle the score with Caroline.

    "Wonderful Story!"

Bittersweet is a good name for this story of love and tragedy.
It brings out an array of emotions one would expect in a well written and performed audio book.

Sandra Brown is a very talented author and Joyce Bean a wonderful narrator.

    I enjoyed it very much.

    "Past-time listening."

Of all of Brown's books I've read, this one I consider to be easy listening, past-time really, with no great pretenses. Interesting...
