Steamy Love Story

Don’t let the title fool you. This big girl has it going on. This is first a steamy, slutty story that turns into a romantic love story. It will have you routing for the underdog. I am glad this isn't the end of their story; I have to know what happens next in their lives. A big girl gets the attention of a rock star and her best friend. Who will she choose you have to listen.

I loved this story when I read it on my kindle about 3yrs ago....and I liked it in audio form...but having listened to a lot of Jasinda's work now...this is not her best work.

It's a plus size rock star romance..there is a lot of them out there....but Anna is a special lady!

Summer was good....I liked her performance.

I read this book on my kindle about 3yrs ago...I totally loved it then....listening to it now, I only liked it...Jasinda has came so far as a writer now, I have listened and also read so much of her work now...I would rate this maybe a B- compared to other books...What makes this really worth it is Anna, she is special in my eyes....she is a curvaceous lovely young woman who doubts her self worth...and Chase being a bit of a chubby chaser helps her to see she is more than just her dress size... This gave her the confidence and actually chased her into the arms of her true love Jeff...Jeff always knew Anna was special....and if you continue this series, you will know this turns out how it is supposed too, and I hope hope hope that Jasinda publishes Rock Stars Do It on Audio, because that is Chase's story, and it was super fun!!!! If you are a true JW fan this is one not to miss...its a cute, sexy and lovely little story!!!

Heartfelt

Whether a big girl or guy, life is hard. There is a reason we're big. While the sex scenes are based upon fantasy, truth is, a "Big" would be happy to genuinely be loved - period. The emotions in this book are real. The doubts are what we live with daily. Sadly, other than via a book like this, do Bigs get to feel what we desire daily. Great expressions of our feelings are captured. For the Bigs who get to live it, congratulations! Great Book!

Bored

I couldn't concentrate on the story. It's predictable and the cliffhanger was stupid. I will not spend my money or credit on the next book.

I didn’t realize this was about a love triangle

Both stars are for Jeff, the rest was meh. I don’t do love triangle books, or novellas, or whatever these were. I’d rather read reverse harem where no decision has to be made, than watch a perfectly decent, compatible partner get shafted. It makes me sad. That’s how this box set felt… depressing.

Anna (h) toggles back-and-forth between Chase, the exciting rockstar, and Jeff, the stalwart best friend. And she has lots of sex with both of them. No one explicitly consents to the sharing, she just kinda follows her crotch. That’s the whole plot. It’s not deep or healthy.

I originally got this box set for the plus size representation but this isn’t really a ‘big girl’ book. Anna could have been a size 6 (she was actually an 18). She was attractive, extremely extroverted, sexually brave, and sexually experienced. She favoured thongs, high heels (that made her almost 6ft tall!!!), and miniskirts.

So now I’m asking myself what makes a book heroine plus sized? Having her body stats listed? Her endless internal monologue of self-hatred? Baggy bulge-hiding clothes? Idk. This heroine did think Chase was “out of her league” but she still eagerly banged him without any body hang ups or anxieties. Other than that she just made a few flip comments about liking deserts and body-shaming exes.

I’m well aware that women (plus sized or not) are completely individual in their tastes, but if a character is part of a persecuted group I guess I expect them to have a really big complex about it. IMO Anna had a microscopic complex.
