From USA Today best-selling author Meghan March comes another dangerously sexy alpha hero.
The only permanent thing in my life is the ink I put on my clients.
I drift from city to city, in and out of beds, from one tattoo shop to the next.
Every time I start to put down roots, I rip them up.
Until New Orleans.
She's everything I'm not.
Full of fire and life. An innocent where I'm a sinner.
I want to consume her. Protect her. Keep her.
But first I have to escape from beneath these shadows.
Beneath These Shadows is a stand-alone romance set in the world of the Beneath series. You do not have to hear any other books in the series to enjoy it.

I just have to roll my eyes and say 'really' when someone writes in a review that a fiction book was not realistic...come on now 'really'
Ride my beard until I tell you to stop.
Eden is the illegitimate daughter of a New York mobster. Although her father doesn't have a relationship with her he does take care of her safety and livelihood. She has a personal guard and works as an accountant in a salon, one of her father's legitimate businesses. She's lead a sheltered life and is somewhat naive. She's summoned to her father's office where the 2nd in command gives her an envelope with a new identity and tells her she needs to leave town. Her guard Vincent, gave her a burner phone and credit card, told her to pick a place she wanted to go and he would take her to the airport. She chose New Orleans. Turns out her father thought she was being taken to a safe house.
Bishop is a hot as hell inked tattoo artist sporting a man bun and beard. He literally has women throwing themselves at him. Bishop doesn't have relationships and he rarely stays in the same place more than two years. He sees Eden outside the tattoo shop being harassed by a couple of men and he goes to her rescue. He sees right off she's naive and innocent; and decides to help her. This is their story...
The story has drama, suspense, fun, action, sex. There's not instalove/sex. Half the book is over before the first sex scene.
Sebastian York and Andi Arndt are a power couple when performing.
Absolutely worth a credit/$$.
I'm a Romance Junkie! Love Whispersycn Deals! Tips I use: Sort reviews Most Recent; play with narration speed, some narrators sound better.
The Beneath series is one of my favorites! Each story's plot, and characters are special and unique in their own way. I could never pick a favorite. With each book, you can expect off-the-charts chemistry, steamy sex scenes, surprising twist, but what I love most is the characters and the New Orleans setting. Each time I finish one of these stories, I'm excited and ready to jump in my car and head over to New Orleans. It's such a unique city full of excitement, mystery, and history, there's really no other place quite like it. I love how Meghan weaves in so many details about the city into each story. You know you've listened to an outstanding story when it compels you to want to do something.
Eden's life has been sheltered and has basically been kept in a protective bubble by her father. He doesn't have much of a father-daughter relationship with her but has assigned a bodyguard to look after her. She longed to break free from her gilded cage, and finally has her chance when things go awry for her dad. His bodyguard tells Eden they are sending her away and to pick a place to go. She chooses New Orleans and leaves with nothing more than a few clothes, fake ID and a burner phone with strict instructions to only call in life or death situations. Because she is so excited about leaving, experiencing life and trying new things on her bucket list, she really never questions what has happened.
Bishop is a bearded tatted up, alpha loner who never really stays in one place too long. He's running from a past he would rather forget and never forms lasting relationships except with his sister. Bishop comes to Eden's aid when he sees her being harassed outside the tattoo shop he works at. He can tell Eden's not a local and suspects she is running from something. Bishop is determine to keep Eden safe from her naivety while she experience New Orleans and ticks items off her bucket list. Things heat up, sparks fly and chemistry goes off the charts the more time these two spend together; however, they are both keeping secretes.
Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are superstars in the narrator community! Their talent, passion and experience radiates in every Oscar worthy performance! When you see this duo, you know it will be an excellent performance.
With a captivating plot, dual POV's, steamy sex scenes, suspense and a few twist, there's no doubt why this is a best seller! Beneath These Shadows is well worth the time, credit or sale! You can never go wrong with Meghan March story!
Kudos Meghan for another awesome story! I'm looking forward to your next steamy romance.
Wow! Meghan March has knocked it out of the park...again! Beneath These Shadows is fantastic! Bishop is 100 percent alpha and HOT, but with a sweet side for Eden that only makes him even hotter. Eden is sweet and innocent, but doesn't come off as childish. She's endearing and funny, and is a perfect match for the broody Bishop. Together they both save each other from the shadows in each other's pasts. A fantastic story with lots of sexy romance. Exactly what you've come to expect from Meghan March, and in the best way possible.
And don't tell Lucas, who we get to see again, along with many of our other favorite characters from the Beneath world, but I think Bishop is my new favorite.
I am addicted to audiobooks. It makes my 1 hour (each way) commute go by without me becoming an agressive driver. lol
Just discovered Meghan March and found that I love her books. Each one of her books is unique so you don't really have to read them in order in the series. She does a great job of giving you a solid, exciting great story. Her characters in each book are so unique that you don't really see them repeated, as well as the unique story. Love the narrators. Anything that Sebastian York narrates is awesome.
I absolutely loved this series and am so thrilled that I have completed it.
The last 2 stories had me on the edge throughout the whole book.
If you don't know, then get to know because you are missing out.
Was so excited when the story started and characters from dirty billionaire books are linked the these books, got me excited and loved reading more. I would recommend to everyone. Read all the book from Meghan March.
"Well worth the price"
An excellent story, brilliantly read, as are all the 'Beneath' books. Well worth the price.
Wow! This is my first read in the Beneath series and I was completely and utterly hooked from the get-go. I could not get enough. The story had me captivated, it was non stop action, romance, suspense and now I've finished I need to sit down and regroup. The story is based in New Orleans during Mardi Gras and follows Eden who is in hiding from her life as the daughter of 'The' mob boss who is currently under investigation, and sexy heartthrob bad boy tattoo artist, Bishop, who is hiding away from said mob boss. Fate it would seem wants these two to get together because as big as New Orleans is, they can't seem to stop their paths crossing. The chemistry between these two is sizzling hot, told in dual POV, the interactions between the characters worked well, and I loved getting into Bishop's mind set. Twists and turns at every corner, with a 'I so did not see that coming' moment towards the end, what a fab read. Sebastian and Andi nailed it. I can't wait to go back to where it all started and read the series from the beginning.
Loved this book as I love this series it's so hard to select my favourite first it was Titan ,then it was Rix now it could be bishop far to difficult to choose , whilst they are stand alone books I would recommend reading in the order that they are written as they do tie up ...
Thanks for a great listen 😀
Probably 5 or 6 but Meghan March books are the ones I have listened to the most in my library and top of my favorites
The rest of the beneath series but only because the characters overlap from the other books
All of it, they are definitely my favorite narrators. They bring the characters to life,
yes but I also wanted to make it last
Looking forward to the next book from Meghan March
