A super good erotic bdsm romance

This series is great but this is one of the best. The subject matter was serious but handled in a knowledgeable way from law enforcement to bdsm. Can’t wait to start the next one.

What does Lexi Maynard bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I LOVE HOW SHE EXPRESSED THE CHARACTERS IN EACH MOMENT. SHE BROUGHT OUT EACH CHARACTER PERSONALITY HOW THE AUTHOR INTENDED FOR THEM TO BE. IT WAS LIKE THE BOOK CAME TO LIFE. IT WAS READ JUST AS WELL AS IT WAS WRITTEN!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

WITHOUT GIVING ANYTHING AWAY. THE SCENE WHERE ALL TRUTHS ARE REVEALED BY LOGAN, NOTHING IS HELD BACK. TARA FINALLY ADMITS HER TRUE FEELING.

THE PLOT TWISTS AND TRUTHS REVEALED TRULLY SHAKE THE FOUNDATION OF BOTH CHARACTERS TO THE CORE OF THEIR SOUL. SOME BRINGS CLOSURE AND SOME THEY WILL NEED EACH OTHER TO HEAL. THIS WHOLE SERIES IS A MUST READ!!!!!!

I think out of all the books in this series this is my favorite one Logan loved Tara and he would have did anything to keep her safe. This book had some of everything in it murder mystery and it also had love and a dominate man will to do anything to make the person he love see it I love this book

Trust Shayla Black to beautifully mix a passionate action packed plot with kidnapping, suspense, BDSM, a fated love story involving a hot broken hearted Navy Seal and then add lots of explicit erotica - and what you get is a fantastic listen about second chances that certainly get's your pulse racing.

I have all the books in this series. They are so hot and erotic. It's always a automatic purchase for me. I love this book because of the sizziling sex and also because of the danger that adds that little extra edge. My only complaint is that the book is over. I can't wait until the next one!!

Great Characters and a Good Distraction!

I found that I really love about this story is the characters themselves; the story line itself is interesting and somewhat plausible. But the characters! I think I love Logan; the classic flawed hero/bad-ass bad boy always gets my attention and Tara's spunkiness is a recipe for sparks. But it's also the lesser characters who add dimension to this story, Xander in particular-his presence as the classic side-kick is welcome both as a foil and as a point of concern. Black's done a nice job with giving us interesting sidekicks and friends in the past and this story continues that trend in this series.
Logan as Dom is believable and the romance is as well.
Is this serious reading/listening material? Not so much but then, I WAS looking for pure escapism and this book fits the bill in my Universe!
And as always, props to Lexie Maynard; her narration brings the characters to life for me.

Another great installment to the series!

As much as I disliked Hunter and Kata in book 4, I loved Logan and Tara in book 5. I got the connection between them that I just never got in the last book. This series is basically lots of hot sex and a bit of good guy/bad guy action. I love Lexi Maynard and hope she continues to perform these. The only negative was that there weren't many updates on past characters, but Logan and Tara were more than enough to hold my interest.

This is my favorite in the series, great plot, steamy sex, real emotions, and well developed. I like when characters from other books in series make cameo appearances!

Long, smokin' hot BDSM suspense

so it took me two times to finish this book. it was definitely full of steamy scenes and BDSM. but some of it just dragged out a bit for me. good narration and I liked the storyline but wish it was a little bit shorter.
