I love all genres of books. However, when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!

Wow. Another great book by Lisa Renee Jones. Chris and Sara are very well developed and terrific characters as well are the supporting characters. The storyline was good. There was passion, suspense, danger, love, and hot sex. I can't wait for the next installment. The journey is a dark one with two troubled pasts and two tormented people trying to find their way together. I highly recommend this book.
Grace Grant was outstanding in the delivery of the story.

These books keep getting better. They have a fifty shades feel to them but more mysterious. I'm looking forward to the next book because there are still a lot of open ended things left that I'm dying to know the answers to. These books are worth the credits!

I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.

This was just soooo good. It gave answers to questions but it does leave me wanting more. It's as good as the first but don't despair it won't leave you hanging as bad as the first book. Lisa Renee Jones is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. What can I say? I just love the way she leaves me wanting and I do love her male characters.

Go ahead this is totally worth that credit!!

"Steamy hot and oh so good"

I had high expectations for this book after the huge cliffhanger in book one. This absolutely delivered and dare I say it was better then the first. This is not a "filler" book just to stretch the story out (like so many others out there). This story actually gives us answers and creates new and exciting questions. I can't wait for book 3. This was a breathtaking, sexy and emotional journey. And did I mention it was oh so hot and steamy too!

    "Another 5 Stars"

I loved this book. I could not wait to download it and I knew there was a cliff hanger after reading the reviews of the first book so I waited to get started and glad I did because it would have drove me crazy. Lisa Renee Jones really knows how to keep you guessing. Although you have suspicions of how things are moving forward there are enough plot twists to keep it interesting. There is talk that there was too much filler but I did not get that feeling. I do think that there are some characters that could have their own books like Mark and Ella. Sara and Chris' characters get even more depth and still there is mystery there. I like the fact that your imagination can still run in several different directions as to what Chris' dark secrets are. I wish she would have a bit more of a clash between Sara, Chris and Sara's ex fiance. Again she leaves you with a cliff hanger and who knows where she will take us next. There are still several unanswered questions but that just leaves you wanting more. Cannot wait for Sept. Very, Very worth the credit.

"WALKED THE DAMN FLOOR UNTIL I FINISHED IT"
Would you consider the audio edition of Being Me to be better than the print version?

sometimes i like to read, and other days, I listen.. either way, a good book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Again it's Chris, with all his faults, flaws, and hurt he still is the my hero in this book.

Have you listened to any of Grace Grant’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to a lot of Grace Grant's performances.. and you know. she is really starting to be a favorite of mine.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

YES, i did, at the end I jumped up and screamed WHY and WHAT..cause I really thought this was the end of this series and so much was unsaid. It's not as bad as the first book, but it's enough to make me want that last book..

    Any additional comments?

This keep book took me in so many directions.. in a good way. NOW THIS WAS EXCELLENTLY written. Everything (nearly) is revealed to you from the first book.. I fear that the two most important people in this book are misguided and can't seem to find a way to one another and that is upsetting when they so love one another.. Some of this was predicable. And you knew what was coming, but I can assure you, there is enough going on that you will read and re-read just to make sure you understood that right. I loveD it. it's worth a credit, or a buy and to know there is one more excites me to no end. And a TV show to boot.. Anyone that has read this series, will be excited to hear this.. I read a lot of reviews before choosing this.. in fact I almost didn't go with this, but now. I am so happy I did.. I am a sucker for romance, and yes of course the sex is important, but I like a good book that don't put me to sleep and few of these so called good ones did.. But this one. NOPE, your in it.

    "book two is SO good!"

you already know that book one was SO good and now you want to know if the second book was just as great? well. it is.

    and then some.

the characters have such depth and the love is there, albeit strained. they're trying to figure out who they are and how they can overcome past tragedies. i wanted to savor EVERY word but also, i desperately wanted them to be "okay" and didn't stop listening until this book was over. it's so good.

there's two more in the series. it's going to be a long wait. sigh.

i loved this story and grace does an outstanding job as always.

thanks to leesa for the recommendation, otherwise i'm pretty sure i would have passed this one up and that would have been a shame.

"Wait, was I reading Fifty Shades? No, I guess not."

I was excited to listen to this book because I wanted answers to the questions from book one. Just like the first book this book is written well, great narrator, moves along quickly, was sexy and kept my interest. At times, however, I just couldn't help feeling like I was having de ja vu. Every once in a while I noticed similarities with this book and the Fifty Shades Trilogy. That being said, this series is still worth listening to and I would recommend it. Just don't be surprised if you feel a little de ja vu.

    "Needed more mature characters"

As the 2nd book in a series about an art gallery where most of the characters are in their late 20s and 30s, possibly older, the emotional drama and issues are just too juvenile. I expected some kind of conclusion to the original question "What happened to Rebecca?" but there was just endless romantic, business & family drama. There wasn't one character that acted educated and professional, let alone like a rational adult. Exhausting and unfulfilling!

    "AND THE SAGA CONTINUES...."

I can't help but feel that this series is going to be, at least a little, weighed down by the fact that it was changed from the original 3 books to 5 books. So, in that respect, in "Being Me" more developments are trickled down the pike. We are give two male competitors in Mark and Chris. Both men want Sara, but in different ways. Mark declares his intentions for Sara in this book and it's not in a "prince charming" kind of way. It's dark, seductive and perhaps tempting, but not enough to disrupt the steady romance and link between Chris and Sara. I was drawn to Mark in this book. I felt conflicted because I really want him to be saved as well. Sara is saving Chris and vise versa.....but Mark certainly needs to be saved by a desperate, healing kind of love.

Now to Chris, there are so many things I really like about Chris: his tatts, his motorcycle, his charisma, and I also love that he is always in tune with Sara's feelings and moods--I mean, come on!!--For any man, that is a huge feat! With Sarah, Chris is tender, but fun. He is committed to only her (whereas Mark would definitely want to share her with others). I also love that he is generous with his charity events and immerses himself fully and personally when helping those less fortunate.

Overall, I thought this book was well executed. The writing is very good. I LOVED how throughout the book, readers are not privy to a secret Sara is withholding, which she must eventually share with Chris. When it comes out, both the readers and Chris are learning about it for the first time. I thought this was clever because you can't judge Sara prematurely for the secret she withholds. Sometimes when female leads hold secrets, I get annoyed as it's so obvious that type of thing will pop up later in the plot and it just becomes so predictable. Not so, in this case.

In this installment Rebecca's whereabouts are revealed, we see a more vulnerable side to Mark, there is a crazy encounter with Sara's ex-fiance, Chris deals with his own issues in a self-destructive way, more interesting artists weave themselves into this story, and the mystery surrounding Sara's friend builds up. Not sure when I'm going to read/listen to the following installments......maybe I'll wait for the 5th book to be released before I venture back into this saga.

Narrator: Grace Grant is very good. She made this audiobook more enjoyable. Great job overall!

    "Two minds!"

Yes the male characters Chris and Mark are scorching, yes the sex scenes sizzle and burn with an intensity that grips any reader and makes our girly bits tingle you would have to be dead for them not to. Yes I loved the interplay... Yes yes yes... But

the one reason that this book captivated me in the first was the mystery that was Rebecca, I felt the poor girl was sold down the river and our author decided to concentrate on the inner angst of Sarah, I thought things where looking up when we find out there's a huge secret, I was expecting a bang and a got an anti climax.

In the first book both Sarah's relationships and mystery went hand in hand, in this one Rebecca a shadow and the mystery secondary which was the reason I read and loved the series in the first place.
